Former Education Secretary Bill Bennett appeared on Fox News Thursday night to praise Donald Trump’s speech in North Carolina which included an expression of regret for saying hurtful things during the past campaign year.

When asked what groups Trump needs to reach to win the election in November, Bennett singled out one particular group he thinks Trump should not waste his time on:

“He does not need to speak to the “Never Trumpers,” some of my friends – or maybe former friends – who suffer from a terrible case of moral superiority and put their own vanity and taste above the interest of the country.
”

Bennett went on to praise Trump’s “moment of humility” and said that this speech, along with his speech about law and order in the African-American community, could put him on the right track toward victory as it will make in-roads to voters in the center and even black voters.

Actually, it was the Trumpkins who put vanity - and hatred, fear, and spite - above country.  If they had cared even slightly about the country, they would have nominated someone who could have won against Clinton, even though that person wasn't as emotionally satisfying because he - or she - wasn't all about making vulgar comments about people and getting into stupid little gutter fights.

Great analysis on the moral superiority, vain, leftist liberal democrat #NeverTrump-ers, as they help put Clinton in office to finish off the USA as she creates a full on PRO-ABORT SCOTUS.

This is about the TRUTH and a PRO-LIFE SCOTUS. You let Clinton win, and you let her create a PRO-ABORT SCOTUS.

More Trump-licker B.S.  You and your fellow trump-lickers are the ones who will put Clinton into office because you just couldn't help yourselves, you intentionally nominated somebody whom you knew - you were told by hundreds of thousands of people, very credible people - would never beat Clinton.  And yet, you went ahead and nominated him anyway because you fell in love with his dirty vulgar mouth; you mistook the ability to yammer out disgusting insults with actually speaking truth to power.  The fault is yours, all yours, and now, to cover up your own failings, you act like a mob of brown shirts.

Another one of those cases where they use huckster, con artist like arguments. A good sign of both desperation and that they can't actually make a good case for what they are selling. This should be a sign to many that something is very wrong with the Trump campaign. And we've been told trump is the master salesman yet he can't even sell his campaign to his own party.

Well, to tell you the truth I do feel morally superior to those who refuse to vote as their conscience dictates but only do the bidding of the "big man" they think will be the dictator they want.

A lot of people have jumped the shark this time. 

What a disappointment that a man I used to respect is now calling my ethical framework based on Scripture "vanity."

I suppose I should be thankful that he's not calling me a traitor, though.  I guess it could be worse.....

Are they even aware how similar their badgering sounds to the badgering the party did on behalf of McCain, Romney, Dole, etc etc? Its the same ol same ol.
