Does anyone at RNC have any backup plan with the growing chance tRump will wake up one morning and quit? Right now it still might be possible to get someone else on the Nov ballots, but by October if he pulls a REAL OCTOBER SURPRISE, we may be in a  real mess.

That Ted Cruz is still living in Trump's head surprises me not at all.   It conforms precisely with what I have always thought of the man.   He is one big Ego,   and like any bully,   the person he hates the most is the one who stood up to him.   


Trump has always been motivated by ego.   It is my hope that this drive to be thought of as "the best"   may engender in him sufficient effort to govern well.   

At this point,  that is all I can hope for.

He is the quintessential backroom insider; and we know from his lifetime how he'll fall.

THAT is what is wrong with him.   He got into the graft game because he was useful; he was expendable from the standpoint of contractors but well-connected through family to Tammany.

He did it well and made it into a quasi-legitimate business.  Didn't hurt him that as a young man he was quite attractive; cleaned up well in a suit.  Who would have suspected that the chiseled blond Adonis in the Ralph Loren tailored suit was nothing but a Tammany bagman?

Success feeds on itself; and he got a chance to own a fraction of casinos - with the use of his name, nice gig if you can do it.  And of course a CASINO will be the kind of business that someone of low-intelligence will be drawn to.

From there...reality television.  Again...something that dull-normals like himself would understand.  I wonder if Donnie has read a book in his life?  ONE BOOK?  Don't give me "his" book.  I'll bet he never read it, much less edited it, MUCH less wrote it.  Ghostwritten, all the way.  He hires people to swamp out his gold potty; and he hires people to write books under his name.  Now, to write Position Papers.

Success feeds on itself, but the other tendency is for a stupid man's reach to exceed his grasp.  And that is why we are where we are.

Sorry, the sense I meant is that his actions in any given situation don't have specific boundaries. Other candidates believe there are (politically, anyway) unspeakable acts, places a candidate just doesn't go politically, and things they just don't do. In his quest to fight 'political correctness', he is throwing out long-established social conventions as well, and like fools, people are cheering that.
Those social conventions, while restrictive to some, form the basis of a civil society.  Without them, things get nasty fast.

The trick with voter fraud is to come up with months of polls which show a growing lead for the favored candidate in the area, and then to come within a few percentage points of those polls. It is a matter of what the voters expect will happen, they will get, and that is shaped by the media.
It is considered bad form to have more votes than registered voters, though.
