Rubio already said he is not interested in being VP... or in politics anymore.  He said this the day the rumor started.

Rubio also ran for the Senate on an anti-amnesty TEA Party platform.

That didn't last long.   :pondering:
Guess who got the NYT's endorsement in the GOP primary?

Rubio was likely telling the truth. He wasn't interested. On that day.

Time and perspective are powerful things, and the appeal of ascending to the 2nd highest office in the nation should not be underestimated. He's a smart guy, and knows that being on that ticket is a win-win. If Trump wins, he's VP and heir to the throne. If Trump loses, he can go forward with good will from the Trump wing AND still hold his support from establishment and moderate voters. The only question is if he's able to swallow his hurt feelings and move forward for the good of himself AND the country. I think he is.

Rubio was my choice for president.   If he links up with Trump, I'm done with him.  If he thinks his Gang of Eight association hurt him, just wait til he shares the stage with the orange stooge.

NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl   4/10 - 4/14   1000 RV   3.1   46   44   Clinton +2
FOX News   4/11 - 4/13   1021 RV   3.0   45   44   Clinton +1
CBS News   4/8 - 4/12   1098 RV   3.0   45   42   Clinton +3
McClatchy/Marist   3/29 - 3/31   1066 RV   3.0   47   47   Tie
IBD/TIPP   3/28 - 4/2   819 RV   3.5   44   39   Clinton +5

Kasich v. Clinton:

USA Today/Suffolk   4/20 - 4/24   1000 LV   3.0   46   41   Kasich +5
NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl   4/10 - 4/14   1000 RV   3.1   51   39   Kasich +12
FOX News   4/11 - 4/13   1021 RV   3.0   49   40   Kasich +9

IBD/TIPP   3/28 - 4/2   819 RV   3.5   45   38   Kasich +7

Bottom line is Cruz and Kasich poll better than Trump against Clinton. While I'm not the least bit of a Kasich fan, I have long conceded to @Jazzhead  that he polls best of the three. Of that there is no denial.

The "Orange Stooge" who turned Rubio into a flop-sweating, high-pitched voice mess in Rubio's final debate.

Poor Ricky Rubio.  I felt bad for him.  He looked like a child needing daddy's approval.

You should, because I've yet to see you post anything substantive, and only a heaping pile of childish insults.  I actually try to engage in reason.  Unfortunately, many of your fellow anti-Trumps seem to lack that ability, along with possessing a striking lack of self-awareness as they fling their insults.  Maybe you can relate?

I do enjoy your temper tantrums.

The problem with your approach is this...polls in April during a presidential election year, are virtually useless. They are absolutely not predictive of how any of the 3 would do in a general election against Hillary Clinton. The dynamics change dramatically after the conventions, and the best candidate is the guy who can reach out and grab the attention and imagination of the voters...and there is ZERO chance Cruz or Kasich can do that. Trump is no sure thing, but he has a real chance as he has generated real passion within his movement.

Demagogues try to generate "passion" - in Trump's case, he exploits anger and frustration and makes veiled appeals to racists and other vermin.

So do leaders.

You just haven't learned to discern the difference between the two. This is particularly true if you are fool enough to be duped by the Lib construct about "coded" language and "implied" racist intent. Down that path leads madness, and political correctness at an extreme level. I'm surprised you'd go down that dark trail.

And let me help you more. Trump voicing the justified anger and frustration of the middle class is absolutely the role of a leader, as is harnessing it to common sense and electoral victory.

Careful with where you are going with the "veiled" appeals accusation.

The democrat model is based upon corruption. That is a far left/progressive ideology buys votes in the form of "Affirmative action" and well.. snap/section 8.

It is not that those voting for the progs/left actually s'port their agenda... see Sad "Mirage" being rejected by the People..even in Cali.

But I digress.... with trump... it is really a small portion who s'port him from the right.

All is not lost...trumps "center" will not hold.

How the hell is he going to deal with Congress if he can't deal with a delegate process?
