Unless they read it as Trump saying he's banning Islam for US citizens, which he didn't, it's the most stupid criticism I've seen of Trump as of yet, and that's quite the achievement.

Even more odd it came on Pearl Harbor day, where the US actually did take measures against allowing immigration from enemy countries, even if they weren't themselves soldiers.

Hell, we even rounding up the Japanese and put them into prison camps in the USA.

What about the article posted in the OP shows he doesn't understand how our government works? The loudest critic in this thread says it's a First Amendment issue, which I fail to see how that can all be the case. If anything it's stupid in this thread, which was your criticism of Trump, it's that line of reasoning.

That shows to me a lack in understanding how our government is supposed to work, and any Trump criticisms by NavyCanDo from this point forward will be dismissed by me unless he addresses how the First applies to immigration law. It's an absurd argument.

Do you have any examples of Trump's apparent ignorance of how our currently dysfunctional government, that I've read you post many times isn't working, is supposed to work?

Are you happy with how government is working today?

Okay...a thoughtful answer. Here's my question: what's upsetting you so much about stopping immigrants/refugees from ISIS rich countries---especially since we do not have the means or the will to vet them?

I knew this would be an entertaining thread!

Applying the Constitution to foreign nationals who have never set foot in America...the whole world is America now I guess. Bringing in The Japanese internment of American citizens when we are talking here about temporarily stopping those foreign nationals from entering (largely to totally unvetted, as we've already proven) while we get a handle on our refugee, visa and immigration systems...not to mention passing judgement on our own leaders in WW2 facing an existential threat.

I always said that liberals - the left - would happily go to their deaths, and cause all of our deaths, for their nice, sweet sensibilities that are oh, so fine in times of peace and safety. I was unaware that conservatives would fall into that camp as well...simply out of foggy hatred for one individual.

I know you're a Cruz guy, and I am now too, but they are basically playing bad cop (Trump)/good cop (Cruz) while playing outside of how "government works."
