The WNBA Players Association have released a statement regarding the debate of men in women's sports...
They call out "hate" & the "demonization" of trans people, while saying they "will not be used as political pawns"
They encourage fans to tell their "elected officials to strengthen Title IX", while encouraging them report "hateful" and "abusive behavior" to security at games.
The lack of awareness, gaslighting, & virtue signaling is off the charts...

The WNBA don't seem to grasp that opposition to men competing against women in women's sports leagues has nothing to do with hate. It's fairness. Women and men do not share a level playing field. Trust me on this. I played high school and college women's basketball. From about age 40-52, I played against men in a daily pickup game at the local college. All of them - from college students to professors - were stronger than I; most were taller. I loved it, but came out of it with my share of injuries, including a particularly vivid black eye.

Now that @EnesFreedom announced he’s a woman & entering the draft @wnba has three options, all bad for them. 1. Deny he’s a woman. (Which means they know what a woman is.) 2. Admit men to league. 3. Announce only those born as women are eligible. Which path? Checkmate.

If they deny he’s a woman, he can sue and cite the league policy which doesn’t define what a woman is. In order to disqualify him, they will have to explain to courts why he isn’t a woman, thereby setting female criteria. It’s brilliant. @wnba and their defenders are trapped.

Of course you’re wrong: they will do option 4, which is disqualify Canter because “he’s just trying to make a mockery of us.” He will be discarded, not debated. They will proceed with their illogic.

Of course he won't be drafted, but at least he's made clear just how stupid and illogical all this "let trans women compete with women" stuff truly is.
