Any orange jumpsuits to be seen?

Minnesota State Capitol Announcement:  A Somalian says Somalis built the United States economy and says no one can be illegal in America. “No human is illegal, ever. You are not illegal. Our neighbors are not illegal.”

Rep. Brandon Gill observes, "If Somalis built the economy, why are 80% of them still on welfare after 10 years?"

[H]umanity repeats the worst mistakes of previous generations and ... every free, prosperous civilization will eventually be destroyed by that small fraction of its people who find no satisfaction in anything but anger.

Doubtful, but wasn't Vance assigned the task of uncovering fraud and those committing fraud prosecuted???
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

In some ways our politcal life and actions should be more dictated around what happened in 1773 rather than 1776.

The entity that was formed in 1776 has become an enemy of the people.  People are getting fed up subsidiziing the slug entitllment class.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.

I know what you mean, but it wasn't until 1860 that the Federal Government became a National Government, and it wasn't until the outcome of that conflict that that was solidified. Many problems have their roots in that subtle change, and the events of 1913 made things worse. Then, after a New Deal and a Great Society, we get to most of the mechanisms today that are far, far, afield from what those who crafted the Constitution in 1787 would have advocated.
We have a great Constitution. Pity we don't use it as intended.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
