In poker lore, Trump is coming across as a full tilt, bluff artist.

Usually after 2 or 3 hands everyone is on to ruse.

Trump is now BLUFFING again. I WILL BLOW UP YOUR CONTRY!! (yep, of course you will heheheheha, clown)
Trump is a fool. You can only bluff so many times until they want to see your cards.

He's a lousy bluffer to begin with.  I would bet that he also has lost a lot of credibility.

Bullshit. It’s slanted and based on no real information, memes and propaganda from who knows who and where.

Designed to incite division in a right-wing forum.

It’s clearly visible and obvious in its purpose.

Let’s try some honesty first.

Iran mocks Trump's Hormuz threat, says US can't control waterway

Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission spokesperson on Sunday dismissed President Donald Trump’s threat to impose tolls in the Strait of Hormuz, saying his claims of taking control of the waterway were “empty bluffs.”

“Trump is complaining about the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and has threatened that he might take control of the strait and become its guardian angel!” Ebrahim Rezaei said in a post shared on X.

"Only a fool could make such utterly empty claims, he added before stating that the “shelf life of these bluffs has expired.”

“If you had the guts, you would have seized control of the Strait of Hormuz (even for a moment) during over a hundred days of war — you wanted to, but you couldn't.”

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy had announced Saturday that it was closing the strait and warned ships to stay clear of the critical shipping lane.

Trump said in a Truth Social post Saturday that the United States could impose tolls if negotiations in Switzerland fail to produce a lasting agreement before the 60-day ceasefire expires.

Ghalibaf's head needs to be the first to roll when we resume bombing.

You got that right.  I fear that our military has intentionally spared him so far.  There is no value in continuing that policy.

Lindsey Graham says Trump will seize the Strait of Hormuz 'by force' if Iran deal collapses

South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that President Trump will take military control of the Strait of Hormuz if the U.S.-Iran framework agreement falls apart, escalating the administration's rhetoric on the same morning Vice President JD Vance landed in Switzerland for talks with Iranian negotiators.

"If this deal fails, Trump is going to take the strait over by force," Graham said on CBS's Face the Nation. "The United States will control the strait. We will charge a fee for those who go through."............

For your information, during the first 80 minutes of negotiations, which have now concluded their first round, JD Vance did not raise the Islamic regime in Iran's nuclear program even once. Zero mention of the nuclear issue. Instead, Iran demanded that the United States stop Israel from responding to Hezbollah terrorists, support statehood for the Yemen-based terrorists, and accept Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, which it is already attempting to assert.

This is not a nuclear deal. It is one of the most shameful and disastrous negotiations imaginable.

The Vice President is in way over his head.  We need someone else leading the US in these negotiations.  Maybe a cross between Henry Kissinger and Josef Stalin.

It's probably why Vance is on his way home.  The "negotiations" are a bust.  Time to resume bombing.

Better yet, which of Trump's original demands have we gotten from Iran?

The demand for negations?

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf:

Do they not realize that if their threats had been effective, they would not have reached today's state of desperation? We do not take the Americans' threats seriously.

They would do better to be careful about their statements. Our armed forces are prepared to respond in a different manner.

No matter how much they talk, we are the ones who act.

You certainly come across as an apologist for Islam - always minimizing anything that does not shine a favorable light on it.

Now as to your Christian deliberate murder theory - prove it.

I understand the point that @Luis Gonzalez is making here.  His isn't a Christian v. islam argument.  He is simply discounting whether these deaths can be placed at the feet of the religions per se.

Let's take Christianity.  The Christianity of the Second, Third, and Fourth centuries cannot be compared to the Christianity of the Crusades.  The early church had access to the manuscripts upon which the New Testament was based.  Not so for the later Church.  Catholicism coming out of the Dark Ages did not at all resemble the Christianity of the early church.  So can the political behaviors they espoused be placed at the foot of Christ's church?  Certainly not.

The same case can be made of islam.  While I admit that I have a very strong bias against it, the historical record shows that a lot of great advances were born out of the islamic empire.  It was not always the case that infidels were persecuted and slaughtered.  I am reminded that Saladin spared all the Christian inhabitants of Jerusalem when he reconquered it near the close of the 12th century.

Consider also that the vast majority of deaths caused by these muslim armies fighting at the behest of allah were other muslims.  They have spent more time fighting each other than any other religious group.

The bottom line here is that the worst of humanity is to blame for wars, persecutions, and killings - not religion.  When man does what is right in his own heart, people perish.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 "Trump’s tweets did indeed cause outrage among the Iranian delegation, but they did not leave the talks in Switzerland. They asked for a short break."

Senior Iran Analyst Dror Balazada ( @DBalazada ) reports from the high-stakes negotiations in Switzerland, where Donald Trump’s latest tweets have sent the Iranian delegation into a state of "outrage."

The tension reached a breaking point on day one, forcing a temporary halt to the talks. Mediators from Qatar and Pakistan have reportedly appealed to the U.S., practically begging for a "conciliatory tweet" from the President to ensure the Iranians return to the table tomorrow.

While agreements have been reached regarding oil sanctions, the issue of frozen funds remains a major deadlock.

Vice President JD Vance stated that President Trump has tasked the administration with turning "a new leaf" in U.S.-Iran relations. Vance remarked that while these technical negotiations may not resolve every disagreement, they are significant because they allow the American and Iranian teams to "sit together as teams for the first time in history."

The historical record shows that muslims made no advances in anything - they stole them from Classical Western Civilization, the Persians, and Hindus, among many. Their buildings were designed and erected by slaves, mainly Jews. They merely passed on things that interested various individuals - they destroyed the rest.

I guess its pointless to argue this further as the brain washing has overtaken both history and rationality. Please recite the Shahada and be done with it.

Sardar Azmoun, one of the top Iranian players, was purged off the national team by the IRGC, and is currently having his assets stolen for daring to challenge the islamic regime.

Two other Iranian players were also taken off the team by the IRGC over politics.

This is why calling them Team IRGC is simply factual, because the IRGC is fully in charge whether they like it or not.

The IDF says troops shot dead two Palestinians who were hurling Molotov cocktails at the West Bank settlement of Karmei Tzur this evening.

Troops of the 636th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit had been waiting in an ambush when they identified several suspects setting fire to tires and throwing firebombs at the settlement, the army says.

"The troops opened fire and eliminated two terrorists and neutralised another terrorist," the IDF says, adding that the forces began searches for additional suspects.

No other injuries are reported.

Firefighters are meanwhile working to extinguish a blaze outside the settlement, sparked by the burning tires, the military adds.

A Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist who took part in the kidnapping of hostage Yagil Yaakov during the October 7 onslaught was killed in an Israeli airstrike over the weekend, the IDF and Shin Bet announce.

The strike on Friday in southern Gaza killed Zaki Youssef Mahmoud Abu Mustafa, the commander of Islamic Jihad's elite forces in the terror group's Khan Younis Brigade, according to the military.

The IDF and Shin Bet say Abu Mustafa raided the border community of Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, and took part in the kidnapping of Yaakov, who was 12 years old at the time.

The military publishes a photo showing Abu Mustafa and several other terrorists during the kidnapping of Yaakov.

"In recent months, Abu Mustafa played a significant role in rebuilding the terrorist organization's military capabilities in the Gaza Strip, in violation of the ceasefire agreement," the IDF says, adding that he also advanced attacks on troops and "attempted to conduct training for terrorists at Nasser Hospital, while exploiting the hospital to advance terrorist activity."

The military says that "due to his recent activities and the immediate threat he posed to IDF troops, Abu Mustafa was eliminated in a precise strike."

In a separate strike over the weekend, a Hamas operative in the terror group's elite Nukhba Force was killed. The military says the operative, Mohammed Osama Abd al-Aziz Saba al-Eish, "attempted to advance training and instruction for the organization's terrorists and worked to recruit additional terrorists to the organization."

On Iran, none of us are working with the full picture, and pretending otherwise is the first mistake.

What we see is a curated surface layer. Official statements, selective leaks, press briefings, and media narratives that are all shaped by institutions with incentives, including governments, intelligence services, and aligned media ecosystems on every side.

In conflicts like this, information is not just reporting reality. It is part of the strategy. What gets released publicly often reflects what each side wants the other side and domestic audiences to believe.

The real negotiations, signaling, and de-escalation happen off camera. Back channels, third party intermediaries, intelligence to intelligence messaging, and diplomatic exchanges that are deliberately kept out of public view.

So when people argue confidently from headlines or official quotes, they are often reacting to managed information flows, not the actual decision making process.

We are not seeing the war. We are seeing what each side allows to be seen about the war.

Probably not.  Probably called his pal Tucker Carlson on the way home and promised to try again.

#BREAKING: U.S.-Iran talks continue in Switzerland despite walkout reports, with negotiations focused on Hormuz, sanctions relief, and frozen assets.

Which means that Witkoff and Kushner cornered some low-ranking Iranian diplomat and are trying to salvage this mess they all made.  Vance's gone.

Graham on Iran deal: ‘I think it’s going to fail’

The Hill
by Ryan Mancini
06/21/26

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday said he thinks the tentative deal between the U.S. and Iran will fail.

“If you don’t have a diplomatic path through the MOU, then you have to go to war, or some other form of coercion,” Graham told CBS News’s “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan, referring to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between both countries.

“Let’s try this, let’s try a diplomatic solution,” he added. “I think it’s going to fail.”

Graham suggested that if the deal fails, President Trump “is going to take the Strait of Hormuz over by force” and charge a fee. Trump said he spoke directly to Iran’s government and warned that the U.S. will “hit” their country “if Iran continues to attack Israel in Lebanon.”

“When you use Hezbollah to attack Israel, I think the new policy will be, ‘We will attack Iran,'” the senator continued.

The South Carolina Republican also described his reversal on the $300 billion that would go toward Iran’s reconstruction, having previously compared it to delivering the Marshall Plan to post-World War II Germany “with the Nazis still in charge.”

“Because before I thought the money was coming from the West,” Graham told Brennan. “Can you imagine if Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates invest $300 billion in Iran? That would tell me that Iran has changed.”

Graham suggested that the $300 billion would not be enough to help with Iran’s reconstruction, nor that it would result in Iran and the Gulf states becoming business partners.

As we contemplate the Iranian delegation storming out of the negotiations in Switzerland like a bunch of humiliated high school mean girls, consider the possibility that Trump signed the MOU for two reasons:

1. To show the whole world that the Iranian mullahs are incapable of operating in good faith.

2. To show the world he has no choice but to once again bomb the crap out of them.
