This amounts to publicly taking advantage of his office for monetary gain - A first. No other US President ever did that. It has been unthinkable. And associated with corruption. Associated with Biden who is scorned for doing it on the sly.

So now doing the same thing openly is not corrupt, but to be accepted or praised?

You sound like a fool.

Trump selling sneakers in a free and public market and Biden operating a global quid-pro-quo and money laundering network for decades are the same?  What about a politician who writes and sells a book while in office.  You going to march him to the guillotine?

We get it.  You hate Trump.  You can give it a rest.

Funeral for Iranian supreme leader killed in Operation Epic Fury set for July: report

The funeral for Iran's late Supreme Leader Ali ‌Khamenei, who was killed in a strike on Feb. 28 at the beginning of Operation Epic Fury, will unfold in early July, according to Reuters.

The news agency, citing Iranian state media reports Saturday, said the funeral will begin in Tehran on July 4 and finish with Khamenei’s burial in Mashhad on July 9.

Khamenei led Iran for more than three decades until his death earlier this year.

Ali Khamenei's son, Mojtaba Khamenei, then became Iran's new supreme leader, although he has not been seen in public since.

He went underground as soon as the strike killed his father, amid reports that he was gravely injured.

Mojtaba Khamenei was struck in Operation Epic Fury — "wounded and likely disfigured," according to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. His wife and son were killed in the same strike.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced Saturday that a U.S.-Iran peace deal is likely to be finalized within the next 24 hours.

“We are closer to a peace deal than ever before. With finalization likely expected in the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace deal immediately after, followed by technical level talks next week,” Sharif wrote on X.

Pakistan has served as a key mediator in U.S.-Iran negotiations to end the war.

“We would like to thank United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran for their ongoing commitment during the negotiations, and we extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in the region for their support,” Sharif also said. “We are confident that this historic peace deal will form a strong foundation for lasting peace.”

Fox News Contributor Outlines the Things That Must Happen With Trump's Iran Deal. It's a Tall Order
Matt Vespa

Retired four-star general Jack Keane is an underrated contributor on Fox News; his analysis is always excellent. With news that President Trump has hashed out a real deal with Iran, one where a signing ceremony could take place soon, Keane highlighted a few things, all of which could upend the agreement because we’re dealing with terrorists.

We need to know if the ayatollah is on board with this agreement first and foremost. We have government officials and military leaders— is the head of state okay with this, too? Keane acknowledged that’s probably the case, as Trump wouldn’t have such a finality in the tone of this development, but again, trust but verify.

He also pointed out that the deal is risky because we know who the Iranians are. They’ve repeatedly violated the April ceasefire agreement and have since declared the resumption of their nuclear ambitions, regardless of infrastructure destruction. Keane added that Hezbollah's moving north of the Litani River also needs to be discussed to end the rocket attacks into Northern Israel.

It can’t be some temporary agreement; we must have teeth to force compliance here, and that’s where things could fall apart. We’ll see what happens.

Usually and always people in high positions put their holdings in a blind trust, and say nothing of what they hold until after leaving office.

It is not acceptable for a sitting President, of all people, regardless of his business past, to hawk goods and openly pump stock of which they have a lot of. In any other time, this would have been a conflict of interest and treated accordingly.

Making excuses does not address the morality of the action.

It's legal. If you don't like it, get the law changed. And there is no way Biden didn't know what his decisions did with the blind trust. Just because they were corrupt sub rosa does not mean they weren't milking that and more.
At least you can see watch ads to complain about them. I just don't see how you can equate that with withholding billion dollar grants to get a prosecutor fired so the company your son is pulling down a board member's salary (despite knowing nothing about the industry) isn't investigated.
Somehow, it just isn't the same.

Iranian official touts 'strategic partnership’ with Russia, China as potential deal nears

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said he held a joint meeting Saturday with ambassadors from Russia and China in Tehran, where “discussions and exchanges of views were held regarding the latest developments related to the draft memorandum of understanding in Islamabad.”

“The strategic partnership between Iran, China, and Russia, as well as the coordination and interactions among the three countries, will continue with full strength,” he added.

The statement comes as the U.S. and Iran are working to finalize a deal to end the war.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced earlier Saturday that a U.S.-Iran peace agreement is likely to be finalized within the next 24 hours.

Trump says Iran deal is ‘scheduled to get signed tomorrow,’ Strait of Hormuz will reopen

President Donald Trump announced Saturday that a deal with Iran to bring an end to the war is “schedule to get signed tomorrow” and that "immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL.”

“Barack Hussein Obama’s Deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON! In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement.”

“The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL,” the president continued.

“Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous Administrations have had. Unlike Obama’s Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in payments to them, including 1.7 Billion Dollars in green, cold cash, no money will exchange hands. At the appropriate time, when all is calm, we will go in and get the Nuclear Dust, buried deep under the powerful sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 Bombers and their brilliant pilots, and downblend and destroy it, whether in Iran, or the United States,” Trump also said.

“We look forward to working with Iran, and the entire Middle East, long into the future. Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly,” he concluded. “If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again!”

They'll stop trying to develop a nuke and just buy one or 10 from North Korea or China.

If I had a spare nuke for sale, I would gladly take $10 billion for one if it were offered to me.  Trump needs to be really careful here.

Through all these 'negotiations', the IRGC has revealed its hand.  The one thing that is more precious to them than anything else is getting their hands on more cash.  That is why their three main demands above anything else has been:

1.  Free the frozen funds
2.  End the blockade of Iranian ports
3.  Allow Iran to charge tolls for Strait traffic.

Iran will never abide by a "deal" such as the one described.  They will cheat from day one.  Are we stupid enough to fall for it?  I wish I had confidence that we won't, but I don't.  There has been too much stupidity demonstrated over the past month, and we can't lay that at the feet of the Europeans this time!

Leaders in Iran are still claiming there is no 'deal' and that they are not going to sign anything.
These Iranians claim that the strait will not open, they still want tolls, and war is still on.

It could be that Trump is making a deal with a group of people in the Iranian government who do not have the ability to follow through.
Nobody knows who is really in charge of Iran. Trump is making a deal with a government which does not actually exist in any real way.

I do not trust Trump when it comes to Iran. He is way too blindly fixated on 'making a deal'.
Trump is not an objective participant. Trump is the primary cheerleader of his 'deal'.

This whole signing saga could be just projection by Trump because he wants it so badly.
It could all be Trump's imagination. Trump needs to recuse himself from anything Iran related.

I wish he would step aside and let calmer more realistic people (Rubio/Vance/Bessent) take care of it.
I do not trust that Trump is not paying Iran in some backdoor way to do this.
Trump is too fanatically emotionally invested in his stupid 'deal' to be trusted. We need an objective adult.

What I'm seeing here...

Once Iran signs the documents, any attacks on shipping or neighboring countries will be deemed "Domestic Terrorism".

We can bomb the snot out of them and "IRAN", has to remain a spectator.

International Whack-a-Mole if you will.

The only thing 'at hand' here is the IRGC getting its hands on a boatload of cash.  Everything else, not so much.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Iran would not do this unless they are getting paid somehow. They certainly no longer fear an attack under Trump's handwringing feckless leadership.

They'll stop trying to develop a nuke and just buy one or 10 from North Korea or China.

Then the seller will have to make sure the uranium is from Iran, else the Sniffer planes will discover the actual uranium origin and the response will include them.
