A record high stock market doesn't necessarily equate to a booming economy. Not with gas prices, food prices, utilities, etc., at record highs.
Inflation makes the dollar worth less. It then takes more dollars to buy those same stocks. The value of the stock didn't go up, the value of the dollar went down.
Can you imagine how bad it would be for people that, like me, have investments as a hedge against inflation.Yeah. I know you are gonna have some dumbass response. Or maybe ignore me.
