Putting boots, tanks, and APCs on the ground at the front has been proven to be a great way to lose all three. Ukraine's own drone forces have proven this, time and again. Now in not the time to revert to last-war tech over what is paving the path to victory. Sack General Cornpone and reinstate the former MoD or find/form a ministry of drone warfare and put him at the top of it.

Drones hasn't necessarily rendered armor useless, just emphasized the needs for armor to come with protection against drones.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a second Russian Project 10410 Svetlyak-class patrol ship in the temporarily occupied Crimean port of Kerch within two days, while also targeting multiple maritime logistics assets, a fuel depot near Moscow, and a railway bridge used by Russian forces.

According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces on July 18, Ukrainian forces hit another Project 10410 Svetlyak-class patrol ship in Kerch on July 18. The military said it was the second vessel of the same class struck in the port over the past two days, following an earlier attack reported on July 17.

The Svetlyak-class ships are operated by Russia’s FSB Border Guard Service and are used for maritime patrol, escort missions, and security operations around occupied Crimea. Moscow has increasingly relied on such vessels to protect the Kerch Strait, the Crimean Bridge, and nearby ports that play a key role in supplying Russian forces.  .  .
