they took his gun and shot him after the fact. He was DISARMED. This was clearly a complete ****up and miscommunication from ICE.
@Stevensr123 Several factors... First it had been announced he had a gun... All the agents are on high alert (because he was in their face pushing and mucking around)... In the pileup (in which he should of not been in, again pushing and mucking around), no one officer would know if another agent removed a gun or not with any certainty. So even if his gun had been removed there is not the luxury of everyone freezing in time and motion to share the memo that the fellow later shot had one gun removed.... Also I often carry more than one gun at a time, sometimes up to 3 at a time. Agents do not do a strip search of every jerk that butts in their business claiming to be documenting things. These people are just hindering ICE and they should be instantly arrested for doing so, but due to lack of manpower (and over caution with ICE agents) they have been allowed to get to close and think that is the norm allowed.
There is a reason you give police officers (and ICE) room to operate instead of pushing them and butting heads with them, ..... because it is dangerous for the protestor and the ICE agent.
Now far be it for me to complain, but when someone carries extra magazines it is usually because the are expecting the worse. This fellow with two spare mags came ready to hunt bear or gangs of ICE agents. I rarely carry extra mags, because I don't really expect I will need more that 17 round (23 with the spare mouse gun)... A semi-automatic 9mm now days can have OVER 17 round in some magazine, though I doubt the fellow shot had the higher capacity mags over 17 round. My own 9mm handgun has a capacity of 17 (+ 1 in the chamber)... 17 X 3 = over 50 rounds on hand.
Is it illegal to carry ..?... (he was registered to legally carry), NO... you can carry 30 full mags and 10 guns if you want to carry the weight, but it is illegal to interfere with police/Ice, and in doing so this fellow (no matter his intentions) basically fortieth his own innocents in the matter. He could of stood at a distance and shouted to his heart's content all the foul words the left likes to use, but when he came in getting in faces and pushing around ICE, he was fighting a battle of playing with fire and got burned.
No sympathy from me.
Now if they stripped him of his weapon and slowly lined him along an ice bank and then shot him. I would be protesting along with everyone here. But just because you don't like illegals being deported does not give you rights to interfere with their operations where it often gets messy fast.
