The Twenty-one Points1. Gaza will be a de-radicalized, terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors.
The only way this can happen is if all current Palestinians who have been radicalized since age 4 are removed from Gaza.
3. If Israel and Hamas agree to the proposal, the war will immediately end, with the IDF halting all operations and gradually withdrawing from the Strip.
Hamas will agree only to see Israeli troops withdrawn. They won't follow through on anything.
4. Within 48 hours of Israel publicly accepting the deal, all living and deceased hostages will be returned.
This won't be honored. Hamas' excuse is that some other faction has this hostage, or that they don't know anything about that hostage. Or that they kill all the remaining hostages before handing their corpses over.
6. Once the hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful coexistence will be granted amnesty, while members who wish to leave the Strip will be granted safe passage to receiving countries.
There won't be any countries receiving Hamas members. And no Hamas member will commit to peaceful existence. Their charter prohibits it.
9. Gaza will be administered by a temporary, transitional government of Palestinian technocrats who will be responsible for providing day-to-day services for the people of the Strip.
The people of Gaza have already chosen their government. A transitional government of technocrats will eventually be replaced by a government of Gaza's choosing - a government led by Hamas.
17. If Hamas delays or rejects this proposal, . . .
And there it is. If Hamas rejects this proposal, then the entire proposal is dead. Finished. Kaput. There cannot be a contingency that allows Hamas to continue operating in Gaza. Yet here it is - a gaping contradiction that negates the entire proposal.
20. When Gaza’s redevelopment has been advanced and the PA reform program has been implemented, the conditions may be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian statehood, which is recognized as the aspiration of the Palestinian people.
That's just it. Palestinian statehood has never been the aspiration of the Palestinian people. Eliminating Israel has always been their true aspiration.
