Jimmy Kimmel is “absolutely f**king livid” over ABC’s decision to “indefinitely” pull Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show from the air. The decision was made after major broadcasters announced that they would not be airing the show in response to Kimmel’s advancement of a blatant lie in which he baselessly claimed the suspected assassin of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was a Trump supporter.

The statement came shortly after broadcasting giant Nexstar Media Group, which owns and operates more than 200 television stations in 116 U.S. markets, announced Wednesday that it will be pulling Jimmy Kimmel Live! from its affiliates.

“Nexstar’s owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the foreseeable future beginning with tonight’s show.  Nexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets,” the company announced in a statement.

Nexstar’s vast media portfolio reaches about 39 percent of American households, primarily through affiliations with major networks like ABC, CBS, Fox and others. This was followed up by a similar announcement by Sinclair, which controls a significant portion of local television networks themselves.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Kimmel is “absolutely f**king livid” over the network’s abrupt decision, which came just an hour before he was set to tape his next show. “Absolutely f–king livid,” one producer told the outlet about how Kimmel took the news, adding that the late-night host is currently meeting with the network.

“This is clearly the government overreaching. There’s no such thing as free speech in America, if the government can lean on companies to stop any content they don’t like.”

ABC and parent company Disney, as well as advertisers for Kimmel’s show, were facing relentless calls to discipline Kimmel over a brazen lie he told on the assassination of Charlie Kirk during Monday’s monologue.

Finally, after suffering through his obstinate arrogance, his refusal to change his political sermons even ever so slightly, his bosses had no choice but to get rid of him. This was not over what he said on Monday. It was the culmination of something which has been brewing for years.

The investors simply said, "We are not making money from this. We cannot make money from this. This guy needs to go preach his Left-wing sermons on a podcast with his one million or so followers."

What happened to Kimmel has nothing at all to do with the Government. What happened to Kimmel and to so many others is between them and their employers. This is a facet of society which has nothing to do with the first amendment. The first amendment is a restriction on Government. It does not apply to a contract between an employee and their employer.

If the first amendment restricted an employer from terminating an employee no matter what they do or say, this would unleash chaos. "You are violating my 1st Amendment Rights!" would be shouted every time any employee is terminated for any reason.

here's the problem with that argument.  FCC Chair Brandon Carr, who is a very powerful government official, issued a clear thread against ABC and its affiliates.  Here's exactly what he said:

Sorry, but that is NOT a free market force acting against ABC.  In fact, we'd all be screaming bloody murder if a Democrat FCC Chair had gone after Fox for something stupid Brian Kilmeade (for example) had said.

Precisely. I agree. At one time he was pretty funny in his opening monologues. Some where along the way he decided he was a political commentator (like the other late night hosts) and lost his sense of humor...and his audience. Very low ratings. I'm surprised he wasn't canned prior to this.

The tremendous cost of late night shows, coupled with the lack of advertising dollars, has made budget bombs out of Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and others hosts who may soon be on the chopping block.

But as irate media figures denounce Kimmel’s termination on Wednesday, reporters like CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski can’t help but note the irony of some ideas being tossed around.

The K-FILE reporter launched a vicious quip at a Trump hater on X who tried to encourage Mark Cuban, the famously anti-Trump billionaire, to start his own network featuring Kimmel and Colbert, whose show’s end was announced in July. The latter was one night removed from a monologue where he rebuked network executives for caving to President Donald Trump and paying $16 million to settle a defamation lawsuit.

Almost immediately, the NY Post spoke with sources at parent company Paramount who brought the receipts showing Colbert’s show was losing $50 million annually, leaving an open wound that Paramount needed to close amid its merger with Skydance.

Although it’s not yet known how much Kimmel’s show may have been costing ABC, his annual salary of $16 million was surely a contributing factor.

“Mark Cuban could build a killer network around Colbert and Kimmel,” wrote progressive lawyer Kyle Keegan.

Kaczynski was quick to reply.

“[H]e’s not in business of losing money,” the CNN analyst joked.

Former Republican Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty told CNN host Anderson Cooper on Thursday during “Anderson Cooper 360” that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel faced consequences from his employer because he “ticked off the customers.”

Since Disney’s ABC announced it would indefinitely pull Jimmy Kimmel Live! from the air, speculation has suggested the decision was influenced by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr’s previous comments. Cooper asked Pawlenty if there is “a justification for the president or his point man at the FCC to even explore revoking broadcast licenses of outlets because of how they cover him.”

“Well, just to step back and to build on the congressman’s point, the public airwaves are given to networks to serve a public interest, a public necessity and a public benefit,” Pawlenty said. “So if you apply that standard to Kimmel’s show, I think any fair person would have to look at that show and say, over the months and years, it is a decidedly partisan show. So is serially presenting partisan information on the airwaves without balance in the case of these particular comments, arguably inaccurate comments, not comedic comments and analysis? Is that in the public interest, benefit or necessity? And legal scholars may say no, but if ABC believes they’re right, then litigate it.”

“By the way, the FCC hasn’t even acted. One member of the FCC got on a podcast and spouted off. So there hasn’t even been an official government action relative to ABC. And one last thing, Kimmel also ticked off the customers of his employer, namely those affiliates. As an employee, you don’t get to go around and tick off an employer’s customers without some consequence,” Pawlenty added.

Jimmy Kimmel’s ratings have been in the toilet for years, but just like his fellow liars and fabulists at CNN, he somehow managed to drive them even lower.

So, why was Kimmel still on the air?

Simple answer: Disney hates you.

Per the New York Post, which looked at the Nielsen data, Kimmel has suffered “sharp summer declines and a year-long slide that leaves him trailing late-night rivals such as Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld and CBS star Stephen Colbert.”

At the beginning of the year, Kimmel attracted 1.95 million total viewers. By the end of August, two weeks before his long-overdue suspension, that number plummeted to just 1.1 million viewers.

As you can see in this graph, that 1.1 million number is not a cherry-picked number based on the ups and downs many television show face based on reruns, events, and the like. Kimmel has been in a steep-steep-steep slide all year.

The Post points out that his ratings slide is “down 43 percent from January’s 1.95 million. His August household rating of 0.35 marked the weakest showing of the year.”

What would be most concerning to ABC/Disney Grooming Syndicate, if it were a corporation driven by profit instead of hate, is the collapse of Kimmel viewers in the 18-49 age demo, which sets advertising rates. That number sat at 212,000 in January. By August it had dived to just 129,000.

Stephen Colbert, who was fired by CBS because his Late Show reportedly loses around $50 million per year, currently attracts 2.57 million total viewers and 281,000 demo viewers.

Greg Gutfeld, of course, remains the King of Late Night, despite his disadvantage of not being on a broadcast network. Gutfeld! pulls in 2.76 million viewers.

So why has Kimmel remained on the air with a good chance of returning after his suspension?

Easy answer: Jimmy Kimmel is a good dog who says what the leftists at ABC/Disney want him to say. He almost certainly loses ABC more than $50 million a year. Hell, his salary is reported to hover between $15 to $20 million a year. But that is money these multinational corporations are willing to lose to spread their leftist propaganda.

That’s it.

That’s the reason

That’s why.

Why else?

Billion-dollar corporations like the Disney Grooming Syndicate are happy to lose $50 to $100 million to have Jimmy Kimmel spread his hate and lies about us. Disney hates us.

Reruns of sitcoms during Kimmel’s timeslot would attract more viewers and cost a fraction to air, but Disney chooses to broadcast hate and lies at a huge loss.
