The radical left’s propaganda empire is cracking at the seams, and it’s glorious to watch. Jimmy Kimmel, that smug late-night hack, thought he could smear conservatives by falsely claiming Charlie Kirk’s assassin was a “MAGA dude” on national TV—just days after the patriot was gunned down by a far-left extremist. Well, karma’s a beast, and now Kimmel’s show is getting yanked off the air by major ABC affiliates, replaced with a heartfelt tribute special to Kirk himself. Who’s the punchline now, Jimmy?

I love the idiots crying about free speech.  You're not free to lie without consequence.

And just like that, Brendan Carr became an absolute legend.

This is way funnier than anything Kimmel ever did.

In a move that’s got conservatives cheering and the left melting down faster than an ice cream cone in July, Vice President JD Vance just dropped a bombshell tweet congratulating Senator Marco Rubio on his “new” role as ABC’s late-night host. “Everyone please congratulate @marcorubio, the new host of ABC’s late night show!” Vance posted, with that trademark smirk we all know means business. Whether it’s a hilarious troll or a sneak peek at the future, it’s pure gold—especially coming hot on the heels of Jimmy Kimmel’s propaganda palace crumbling after his vile lies about Charlie Kirk’s assassin being “MAGA.”

LOL!!  Now that would be EPIC!

Rubio could do it and still have extra time on his hands.

Report: Kimmel Refused to Apologize for Charlie Kirk Remarks on Air

Former late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel reportedly refused to apologize on air for his remarks about Charlie Kirk during an opening monologue, in which he blamed the “MAGA gang” for Kirk’s assassination.

REPORT: Jimmy Kimmel Loses It After Longtime Show’s Demise: ‘Fu**ing Livid’

Published 10 hours ago

on September 17, 2025

By Cullen McCue

Jimmy Kimmel is “absolutely f**king livid” over ABC’s decision to “indefinitely” pull Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show from the air. The decision was made after major broadcasters announced that they would not be airing the show in response to Kimmel’s advancement of a blatant lie in which he baselessly claimed the suspected assassin of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was a Trump supporter.

The statement came shortly after broadcasting giant Nexstar Media Group, which owns and operates more than 200 television stations in 116 U.S. markets, announced Wednesday that it will be pulling Jimmy Kimmel Live! from its affiliates.

“Nexstar’s owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the foreseeable future beginning with tonight’s show.  Nexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets,” the company announced in a statement.

Nexstar’s vast media portfolio reaches about 39 percent of American households, primarily through affiliations with major networks like ABC, CBS, Fox and others. This was followed up by a similar announcement by Sinclair, which controls a significant portion of local television networks themselves.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Kimmel is “absolutely f**king livid” over the network’s abrupt decision, which came just an hour before he was set to tape his next show. “Absolutely f–king livid,” one producer told the outlet about how Kimmel took the news, adding that the late-night host is currently meeting with the network.

“This is clearly the government overreaching. There’s no such thing as free speech in America, if the government can lean on companies to stop any content they don’t like.”

ABC and parent company Disney, as well as advertisers for Kimmel’s show, were facing relentless calls to discipline Kimmel over a brazen lie he told on the assassination of Charlie Kirk during Monday’s monologue.

Local TV giant Sinclair demands Jimmy Kimmel make ‘direct apology’ to Charlie Kirk’s family, donate to TPUSA

"Sinclair Broadcasting said ABC’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel was insufficient, announcing it will yank “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from its stations until the host apologizes directly to Charlie Kirk’s family and donates to his political activist group.

The Baltimore-based broadcaster, whose group of some 40 ABC local TV affiliates is the nation’s largest, said Kimmel’s on-air remarks about Kirk’s assassination were “inappropriate and deeply insensitive.”

The company vowed not to return Kimmel’s show “until formal discussions are held with ABC regarding the network’s commitment to professionalism and accountability.”

“We believe broadcasters have a responsibility to educate and elevate respectful, constructive dialogue in our communities,” Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith said in a statement.

Smith praised Brendan Carr, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, who told conservative podcasters that the agency would take action against Disney in light of Kimmel’s remarks about Kirk.

“This incident highlights the critical need for the FCC to take immediate regulatory action to address control held over local broadcasters by the big national networks,” Smith said...."

FCC chairman hilariously smacks down Brian Stelter after his ‘chilling’ warning
September 18, 2025 | Nicole Haas

Brian Stelter is not happy about the indefinite suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel and issued a warning to Americans on Wednesday night.

“This was very sudden this afternoon after [FCC Chairman Carr] spoke out on that far-right podcast,” Stelter began.

“Then, some stations that are owned by other companies but affiliated with ABC started to complain to ABC. We know one of them, Nexstar, which has about two dozen stations with the ABC logo and all the ABC programming. Nexstar publicly announced that they were going to drop Kimmel’s show indefinitely. Within a matter of minutes. We heard from Disney that the show was being pulled altogether.”

Stelter went on about the “chilling” development.

“But even though we’re talking about comedy, this is so serious. America is a less free place if late-night comedians cannot do and say what they want,” he said. “Of course, they can be tuned out. People can change the channel. That’s how we vote. That’s how we have our say in America. But this really does have a chilling effect across the American media.”

Government intervention here sets a bad precedent here because a future Democrat administration can do the same thing to our show hosts.  Kimmel was on the way out anyway.

He is so deep in Hollywood he doesn't realize "MAGA dude" is a hideous lie.  Kimmel should stick to his club in Las Vegas.  His television audience was 1.1 million.  By comparison, Johnny Carson drew ten times that amount when the country was much smaller.  Late night TV is no place for a bitter partisan.

I oppose Government censorship of speech.  What goes around comes around.

People have God-given rights to be wrong, stupid, rude, crass, classless, tasteless, etc.

If ABC affiliates want to take action of their own accord, that's perfectly okay.  But, this also is an example where corporate over-consolidation in the public media space could lead to indirect Government censorship - where corporate interest to appease Government regulators could lead to corporate censorship that aligns with the political interests of those in power.

"Free Speech" is not really the critical issue. What Kimmel said did lead to him being fired but it was just the final thing. Kimmel's increasingly belligerent, pugnacious Leftism has been a source of pain for his employers for a very long time. Additionally, his ratings were below sustainability. He had a very small audience of little over one million viewers per show.

Finally, after suffering through his obstinate arrogance, his refusal to change his political sermons even ever so slightly, his bosses had no choice but to get rid of him. This was not over what he said on Monday. It was the culmination of something which has been brewing for years.

The investors simply said, "We are not making money from this. We cannot make money from this. This guy needs to go preach his Left-wing sermons on a podcast with his one million or so followers."

Local TV giant Sinclair demands Jimmy Kimmel make ‘direct apology’ to Charlie Kirk’s family, donate to TPUSA

The 1st amendment is a 'contract' or a 'stipulation' between the U.S. Government and U.S. Citizens. It does not apply to employment.

What happened to Kimmel has nothing at all to do with the Government. What happened to Kimmel and to so many others is between them and their employers. This is a facet of society which has nothing to do with the first amendment. The first amendment is a restriction on Government. It does not apply to a contract between an employee and their employer.

If the first amendment restricted an employer from terminating an employee no matter what they do or say, this would unleash chaos. "You are violating my 1st Amendment Rights!" would be shouted every time any employee is terminated for any reason.

here's the problem with that argument.  FCC Chair Brandon Carr, who is a very powerful government official, issued a clear thread against ABC and its affiliates.  Here's exactly what he said:

Quote
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr said. “These companies can find ways to change conduct and take actions on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Sorry, but that is NOT a free market force acting against ABC.  In fact, we'd all be screaming bloody murder if a Democrat FCC Chair had gone after Fox for something stupid Brian Kilmeade (for example) had said.

https://www.foxnews.com/video/6379403917112

So no, this is NOT a contractual issue but an example of government coercion, no better than what Obama or Biden was doing.

Precisely. An employee could advertise for the competition wearing their employer's livery if the first Amendment applied to the employer/employee relationship, and use the threat of doing so to extract more pay or benefits from their employer, and the employer would not be able to fire them because it would be protected speech.

It does not work that way.

First of all, we are not talking about comedy, Kimmel’s show had nothing to do with comedy, it was about hate, insults, lies and belittling those he disagreed with. It’s odd that he is only concerned with late night comedians democrat mouthpieces when comedians have been cancelled on college campuses and other venues, especially since the Barry/Brandon misadministration. Late night jerks can still say whatever they want, they just don’t have the right to be given a platform and be paid insane money to do it.

I agree, this probably was not an FCC matter, but where is the evidence Carr or the FCC actually took any steps? It seems more likely the private sector called the shots on this one, specifically ABC affiliates (and probably advertisers) putting pressure on ABC.

ABC's 'The View' skips Jimmy Kimmel news on Thursday's show
Kimmel's ABC colleagues don't address late-night host being pulled off the air
 By Hanna Panreck Fox News
Published September 18, 2025 1:04pm EDT

ABC's "The View" co-hosts skipped the news Thursday that network colleague Jimmy Kimmel's show had been pulled from the air the day before.

"The View," which operates under ABC's news division, did not discuss the Disney-owned network pulling "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," a story that broke the night before, dominating news coverage and prompting outrage from liberals.

Kimmel's show was pulled after the liberal late-night host suggested Charlie Kirk's alleged shooter was part of the "MAGA gang," sparking criticism from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and leading two major ABC affiliate owners to yank the program.

The co-hosts typically provide commentary on major headlines and news at the start of the show for segments they call "Hot Topics." They were outspoken about the cancellation of Stephen Colbert's CBS program "The Late Show" in July.

The national media being more upset at Jimmy Kimmel losing his show than they are Charlie Kirk losing his life is kind of proving the point.

I agree. At one time he was pretty funny in his opening monologues. Some where along the way he decided he was a political commentator (like the other late night hosts) and lost his sense of humor...and his audience. Very low ratings. I'm surprised he wasn't canned prior to this.

Surely there is some comedian that would like to do a late night gig in the vein of Johnny Carson.

IMO they got rid of Kimmel because he sucked, his ratings sucked, his jokes sucked, etc. Hardly anyone watched him but with Trump at the helm, they knew people would complain if he was cancelled. If Kimmel was a money maker he'd still be employed.

Letterman is an idiot. ABC had plenty of reasons to cancel Kimmel's show even before his stupid libelous comments: low ratings, low revenues and not funny. After his remarks, you can add the affiliates (and probably advertisers) revolting against the show.

Kimmel - not the government - cancelled Kimmel.

Top CNN Reporter Shuts Down Liberal Cries, Admits Kimmel’s Show Was Financial Drain

Published 4 hours ago

on September 18, 2025

By Mark Steffen

The tremendous cost of late night shows, coupled with the lack of advertising dollars, has made budget bombs out of Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and others hosts who may soon be on the chopping block.

But as irate media figures denounce Kimmel’s termination on Wednesday, reporters like CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski can’t help but note the irony of some ideas being tossed around.

The K-FILE reporter launched a vicious quip at a Trump hater on X who tried to encourage Mark Cuban, the famously anti-Trump billionaire, to start his own network featuring Kimmel and Colbert, whose show’s end was announced in July. The latter was one night removed from a monologue where he rebuked network executives for caving to President Donald Trump and paying $16 million to settle a defamation lawsuit.

Almost immediately, the NY Post spoke with sources at parent company Paramount who brought the receipts showing Colbert’s show was losing $50 million annually, leaving an open wound that Paramount needed to close amid its merger with Skydance.

Although it’s not yet known how much Kimmel’s show may have been costing ABC, his annual salary of $16 million was surely a contributing factor.

“Mark Cuban could build a killer network around Colbert and Kimmel,” wrote progressive lawyer Kyle Keegan.

Kaczynski was quick to reply.

Rob Schneider Slams Claim Jimmy Kimmel Removal Is a ‘Free Speech’ Matter: ‘Bulls**t,’ Kimmel ‘Got His Ass Canned for Spreading Dangerous Lies’

Comedian-actor Rob Schneider said it’s “bulls**t” that fellow comedian Mike Birbiglia claimed Jimmy Kimmel getting pulled from the air is a “free speech” matter, adding that the left-wing TV host “got his ass canned for SPREADING DANGEROUS LIES” about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

I'm not too worried about Kimmel. He'll start a podcast and do commercials. I've heard Preparation H has contacted him. happy77

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

The critical contradiction is:
Antifa and all the Far-Left group all openly praise and celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Simultaneously, they claim the the assassination was done by MAGA. OK, so then MAGA is a good thing. Right?

How can you hate MAGA but rejoice that they killed a guy you hate? So now the Left loves MAGA?

It is similar to all the terrorists claiming that Israel is a 'terrorist State'. OK, but isn't that a good thing according to you?

The common thread is committing an atrocity, praising and celebrating it as a good thing, and then calling the victims "terrorists" because you accuse them of doing what you just did to them. But when 'they' do it, is a bad thing.

Is terrorism/assassination good or bad?

It seem to depend on who does it? This is 'good' terrorism - Leftists and Muslims. This is 'bad' terrorism - anyone who is not Leftists or Muslims. It is confusing?

If the Left really believed that MAGA killed Charlie Kirk (which of course they do not believe that) the Left would be praising and cheering MAGA coast to coast. They would all start wearing MAGA hats.
You may find 'nobility' in a savage. But never forget that his first instinct is to kill you.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists

Some good points @240B.
