FBI says it has found DNA match between crime scene evidence and alleged Charlie Kirk assassin

FBI Director Kash Patel says investigators have found DNA evidence linking alleged Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson to the scene of last week's shooting.

Patel made the statement during a Monday morning appearance on "Fox & Friends," saying the suspect's DNA was found on a screwdriver as well as a towel that was wrapped around the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.

"I can report today that the DNA hits from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody," Patel said.

Authorities say Robinson jumped off of a roof before fleeing Utah Valley University's campus moments after the shooting. They say he then ran through a patch of woods into a nearby neighborhood, leaving the towel-wrapped firearm in the woods.

Robinson is currently under "special watch" with authorities in Utah. Police say he has not been cooperating during interviews.

Dr. Drew Pinsky joined "One Nation" on Sunday to discuss the motives and mental state of Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, as well as internet reactions praising the deed.

"People who are radicalized typically are high in what's called the 'dark triad,' which is Machiavellianism, narcissism and psychopathy. Some people will have more of one than the others," Pinsky said told host Brian Kilmeade.

"With psychopaths, they don't have emotion. They don't have moral sensibility. So they may not really appreciate what they have done," he added when asked whether Robinson thought of the consequences ahead of time.

"Others, look, look at all the people that reacted to this horrible tragedy with glee and dancing and laughter, and they didn't consider how they would be perceived by that. People today, because of really this radicalization, this polarization, this tribalization, they're living in these bubbles where they literally don't understand that the majority of the country are going to see their behavior and be disgusted," Pinsky continued. "It's really getting very, very serious."

The FBI is reportedly looking into individuals who appeared to know about the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk beforehand.

The FBI is reportedly looking into individuals who appeared to know about the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk ahead of the murder, which occurred on September 10 during a speaking event at Utah Valley University.

The Washington Free Beacon, which confirmed the investigation with individuals familiar with it, obtained numerous screenshots from individuals who appeared to signal that something big was going to happen on the day Kirk was assassinated. One of these warnings came a month ahead of the event, and some of the posts listed the exact date weeks in advance.

Further, the Free Beacon reported that “several of the accounts appear to belong to transgender individuals” and “at least one” followed Tyler Robinson’s — the alleged shooter’s — transgender roommate.

For example, in one social media post dated September 3, an X account user wrote, “itd be funny if someone like charlie kirk got shot on september 10th LMAO.”

On August 6, an X user predicted that “september 10th will be a very interesting day.” After the murder, the user wrote, “I plead the fifth.”

The Free Beacon noted, “The morbid quip was reposted by an account named “churbum75m (SAW TYLER JUNE 30),” who appears to follow Robinson’s roommate, Lance Twiggs, on TikTok, where Twiggs’s username is “lanclotl.”

That same user celebrated Kirk’s murder, writing on X, “WE bleep DID IT.”

Another individual, @NajraGalvz, wrote on social media that Kirk was coming to his campus, wishing, “i rlly hope someone evaporates him literally.” That user also predicted that “something big will happen” that day — one day before the assassination.

Free Beacon also flagged a TikTok post that came out the day before the shooting, in which an individual — likely transgender, based on appearance — wrote, “charles james kirk. mr. college dropout does NOT know coming tomorrow. be ready…this isn’t a threat it’s a promise.”

For example, were the two known disrupters who were detained, there intentionally to distract investigators while the shooter escaped? There are reports of at least one guy in the crowd jumping up and down with excitement saying I can't believe they actually did it! As if he was there expecting the shot and was there to see it in person.

The shooter was far from being a quite guy who kept his mouth shut. It is more likely that he leaked his plan online than not, thinking he is being sly, coy, and clever. The chances that other people knew or suspected what Robinson planned to do is fairly high.

Like so many Leftist freaks, he lived so deeply in the Left's bubble of HATE and VIOLENCE that he thought of himself as a 'hero'. In his small isolated world, in his mind, he thought that most people think like him and that they would celebrate the assassination. And in the crowd he lived in, he is right. After the shooting he was almost bragging about doing it (my doppelganger did it) because he saw nothing wrong in what he had done. He was proud to be 'the guy'.

What I see is, he wanted to be the 'champion of the Left' who is strong enough and brave enough to actually do what they all talk about every day. He never thought of outcome, or consequences, because he did not fully consider all the ramifications of what he was about to do. Before leaving his dorm room for the final time, the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s murder allegedly wrote a chilling note explaining why he targeted the conservative activist and icon.

Tyler Robinson, 22, explained to his roommate and transgender lover that he had one chance to “take out” Kirk before he got away for good, according to FBI Director Kash Patel, who revealed that investigators are obtaining forensic evidence about the since-destroyed note.

“The written note did exist, and we have evidence to show what was in that note,” Patel said on Fox News.

“‘I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it,'” he claimed the note stated. “That note was written before the shooting.”

Even though the note was destroyed in the partner’s home, Patel said the FBI has found forensic evidence proving what was written on it.

House Speaker Mike Johnson will host a memorial and prayer vigil at the U.S. Capitol on Monday following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Johnson announced the vigil Monday morning, saying all members of Congress are invited to the event. Johnson's office said he and other members of Congressional leadership will offer brief remarks at the event, which is slated to begin at 6:15 ET.

The lawmakers will gather in the Capitol's Statuary Hall.

The memorial comes a day after another memorial for Kirk held at Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center on Sunday night. Turning Point USA will also hold a massive memorial service for Kirk at an NFL stadium in Arizona on Sunday.
