The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Tuesday that it will pull federal funding from more than 46 states and territories if they do not remove mentions of "gender ideology" from certain sex education courses.

According to the press release, the states and territories have 60 days to comply with the demand or risk losing funding.
 
The announcement specifies that the order relates only to the federally funded Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP).

“Accountability is coming,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison. “Federal funds will not be used to poison the minds of the next generation or advance dangerous ideological agendas. The Trump Administration will ensure that PREP reflects the intent of Congress, not the priorities of the left.”

Doctors and hospitals have been fraudulently miscoding so-called gender affirming surgery for insurance purposes. I wonder whether HHS can do anything about that.

Remember how we've been told we have to "transition" minor children or else they'll commit suicide?
Here's a mother who enthusiastically pushed her son to undergo the various procedures ("transhausen by proxy"), and after he still tried to kill himself - unsuccessfully - she's been using his brain-damaged condition for fundraising purposes.

She had him chemically castrated and disrupted his puberty. She changed his legal name to Melody. He was affirmed by family, peers, and even the mayor of Long Beach.  So why did he still try to kill himself on April 14, 2025, at age 17, resulting in a severe TBI?
Why didn't the trans rites prevent this outcome?
Could all this affirmation have caused irreversible damage?
Did the underlying issue get missed?
Now mom is using him for content and to solicit donations online.

Why not simply tell them that they're losing funding because it isn't the responsibility of federal taxpayers to fund local school districts?
