The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Tuesday that it will pull federal funding from more than 46 states and territories if they do not remove mentions of "gender ideology" from certain sex education courses.

According to the press release, the states and territories have 60 days to comply with the demand or risk losing funding.
 
The announcement specifies that the order relates only to the federally funded Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP).

“Accountability is coming,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison. “Federal funds will not be used to poison the minds of the next generation or advance dangerous ideological agendas. The Trump Administration will ensure that PREP reflects the intent of Congress, not the priorities of the left.”

Doctors and hospitals have been fraudulently miscoding so-called gender affirming surgery for insurance purposes. I wonder whether HHS can do anything about that.

A detailed but important thread establishing that the AMA has been advocating for fraudulent physician billing practices of so-called "gender-affirmative care." This entire house of cards is beginning to collapse, but the damage to medicine & patients has been incalculable.
