MSNBC will rebrand as MS NOW (My Source News Opinion World), losing its name and logo.
    The rebranding decision reverses a previous statement that MSNBC would keep its name.
    The change comes as Comcast's NBCUniversal spins off cable networks into a new company.

That will be the new name of MSNBC when Comcast's NBCUniversal spins off its cable networks into a new company, Versant, at the end of this year.

Mark Lazarus, who's leading Versant, announced Monday that MSNBC would trade its famous name for a new one: My Source News Opinion World, or MS NOW.

The channel will also scrub the iconic Peacock from its logo. Other Versant cable brands will change their logos in the coming months as well, including CNBC, Golf Channel, GolfNow, and SportsEngine.

Is there a new corporate pharoah who is not from the GE/NBC Corporate Dynasty?

They are distancing themselves from their NBC legacy and disassociating themselves from the legacy NBC brand.

Both networks were created and branded during the Clinton Administration, so, they are like 30 year old houses in need of major renovations.

It dawns on me that all these Leftists are being shut down or rebranded for low ratings. It isn't that that many, really, are protesting in the streets, or moving into the mansions bought with money they skimmed from their NGOs, and if the money pipeline got shut off and the networks can't afford to keep up the farce, then just how many people are out there who actually believe their drivel--or ever did?

What have the Leftists lost? Were those people ever there, or was it all smoke and mirrors to try to support the number of alleged votes they got, from the 30% floor in their popularity polls, to the millions of Biden ballots that just didn't show up against Trump next time (Unless Kamala's real vote total was completely in the toilet and the rest was just insufficient padding?)

Did all those Democrat votes ever exist? Have we been bamboozled into believing (even with the illegals) that the number of actual Leftist 'true believers' are multiples of what they really are, for the purpose of stealing elections and influencing the representation in the House?

I do not run into very many liberals in my existence (we just don't have time for that crap in the oil patch), and I would not expect to, given that this state and area voted heavily for Trump, but I wonder if their actual numbers are inflated elsewhere?

Either way, no matter how 'triggered' they are by MAGA, they don't seem to be participating, even as spectators, in their mass media echo chambers. Or is it that they have all decided to have fits in their cars and post them on tiktok or X?

I think it was NBC that forced the change. They have said they want to sell MSNBC off, or to simply get rid of it for a while.
Now they have done it.

The decades-long marriage between NBC and MSNBC is steadily headed towards a corporate divorce as parent company Comcast continues its NBCUniversal split, separating the famed Peacock brand from the majority of its cable assets.

Last year, Comcast announced it was spinning off its cable networks into a separate company, now named Versant. Versant will be the new home for MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and the Golf Channel among other assets, while NBCUniversal maintains NBC News, the NBC News Now streaming network, Telemundo and Bravo.

For years, NBC and MSNBC were joined at the hip as the cable network relied on the news-gathering operation and talent of its sister broadcast network. But the separation is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

So who gets what in the messy divorce?

The Peacock

One of the looming questions over MSNBC's future was whether it would keep its name and the iconic "Peacock" symbol. That answer came Monday when it was announced that MSNBC will be renamed MS NOW, an acronym for "My Source for News, Opinion, and the World."

A new logo was also unveiled, replacing the fashionable rainbow bird with a striped flag with a red, white and blue color scheme.

Notably, CNBC, which always stood for "Consumer News and Business Channel," will keep its name.
