Man dies after being shot multiple times in Logan Circle: MPD

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A homicide investigation is underway in D.C. after a man was shot and killed in the Logan Circle community Monday evening.
The shooting happened hours after President Donald Trump declared a “crime emergency” in the District, placing the police force under federal control and deploying the National Guard.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that just after 7 p.m. on Aug. 11, officers responded to the 1200 block of 12th Street NW for a shooting. Once on the scene, police found a man who had been shot multiple times, unconscious and not breathing.
Medics took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
