Man dies after being shot multiple times in Logan Circle: MPD

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A homicide investigation is underway in D.C. after a man was shot and killed in the Logan Circle community Monday evening.

The shooting happened hours after President Donald Trump declared a “crime emergency” in the District, placing the police force under federal control and deploying the National Guard.
 
Control of DC police sparks debate over safety
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that just after 7 p.m. on Aug. 11, officers responded to the 1200 block of 12th Street NW for a shooting. Once on the scene, police found a man who had been shot multiple times, unconscious and not breathing.

Medics took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

I hear the mayor wants the police to call it one of the worst cases of suicide they've ever investigated so it doesn't go on DC crime statistics. :whistle:
