I think the DEM party died along with Harris. That leaves the GOP. I'm not so sure that this lack of transparency will be enough to crush the GOP. If so, it will likely happen during the mid terms, leaving the door open for a DEM comeback in '28.
Pence has already voiced support for Musk's American party. Count me out.
You are mistaken to believe the Dems are dead. Not even close. At the local and state level, they are well entrenched. They have 23 state governors and 2 territory governors. They are very much in evidence.
And in terms of 2026, I believe it is the Republicans that are the ones that stand to lose and not the Democommies. Why? Because the Republicans have both houses of Congress and the presidency. Who are folks going to blame for their woes? And you don't think there are sufficient districts in the house that can be flipped by getting 5,000 people to change their vote? All it takes is a good ground game, and the Dems are superior to the Republicans for just that.
Right now, the Dems are leaderless. But between now and Nov, 2026, they will transition into something cohesive to put up a fight to take back one or more houses of Congress. They will not remain a disorderly rabble for long.
And the important question, what are the Republicans doing to earn anyone's vote today? The Republicans are accomplished at doing nothing. And without a voting majority in the Senate, they cannot pass much in the way of legislation. So, the gridlock that exists remains intact, and people become disillusioned with who is in power. Bye, bye Republicans come Nov, 2026.
And if you do not think Trump will take it on the chin for what appears to be pure corruption by covering up what went down with Epstein, think again. Hell, we have one person on these boards that thinks using 14 year old girls was perfectly fine to entrap corrupt politicians and businessmen. And what man who has a net worth of hundreds of millions would kill himself? Epstein was murdered, plain and simple. Even his brother said he spoke to him that day or the day before, and he was not talking like someone that wanted to check out. He was murdered. And it appears Trump is covering that up to protect who, the corrupt CIA? Oh yeah, the American people will support that sh*t!!!!!!!!!!
As I sit here, Trump is losing credibility daily. He has alienated 2.3 million federal employees, their spouses, children, friends, other family with the Musk fiasco of trimming the federal government. That will translate into lost seats for the Republicans in Nov, 2026, you can count on it. My own wife, never voted for a Dem has told me repeatedly she will not vote for any Republican in 2026. She is livid. How many districts with a few hundred, a few thousand changed votes, and boom the Dem wins.
And I have said this, the Dems do not need to get their sh*t together, they just need to target the districts and the states that are a toss up and concentrate their money and energy on those contests. And all they need is a majority of one in each house of Congress. Believe me, it is the underdog party that has the advantage in the mid-term election.
And Trump's efforts with tariffs are dragging out too long. And he and his admin are lying about inflation. I see no difference in prices, for gasoline, for eggs, for food. In fact, TODAY, I went and bought two items I buy every other week, and the price on both has gone up. Hmmm!
As we saw with the Biden Admin, lying about what is really going on does not attract votes, does it? I think the FED is right not to lower interest rates this year. Inflation has not been tamed. We start lowering interest rates, and it is the late 70s/early 80s all over again.
And the total failure of Congress to reign in spending will not help inflation either. Both parties are guilty of destroying the value of the dollar, the use of the dollar as the global reserve currency, etc. Business as usual in Washington. I am not impressed with the Republicans or Trump.
But the Democommies, the Degenerate Party is controlled by the insane, so what future do we have really? A bleak one I fear.
And don't think for a moment, if the Dems ever do screw their heads on, they would be smart to go after Trump on the H1-b Visa Program. He fully supports displacing USA citizens for low cost foreign labor. That is a real issue they could sink their teeth in and gain millions of votes. But it takes some with intelligence who are not focused on placating the alphabet folks and the insane.
And Pence is a spineless tool, so he is not the issue. But Musk will drain votes away from the Republicans for their total failure to cut the budget by a serious number.
Add all this up, and believe me, the Republicans are facing major loses in Nov, 2026. If they lose both houses of Congress, something I think possible, how long before the Dems impeach and actually remove Trump? How long? I say no more than 2 months after being seated. It will be the first thing on their agenda. Someone here on a thread asked, what would they impeach him over? In my mind, since when did they need a valid reason? They didn't have one the first two times! They could claim he got out of bed on the wrong side, all they need is one vote in the majority.
The Dems are very much alive. Not well, but time changes everything. And then there is Musk. And this Epstein corruption is not going away. I for one, I want the truth. If the CIA is behind any of it, I want them to answer for it.
