How long do we have to reward people for their life of bad choices?
That's not really fair ... nobody chooses a life of poverty.
Bad things can happen to people, through
no fault of their own - marriage breakdowns, abusive employers, company closes leaving workers unemployed, accident or injury - that can lead to
real economic hardship. Even for good people.
And once in that hole, it's hard to get out - a situation not at all helped by the "Gee, I guess they
like being poor, har har har" attitude that some people who (luckily) never experienced poverty have. She was working 3 jobs, let's cut her some slack.
Not trying to crap on you WN, just saying the situation is more complex than some realize ... yes, there's always some irresponsible people who do live recklessly, but there's also a lot of
good people, caught up in the s-show, struggling ...
