The Democrats still don't know why they lost so badly to Donald Trump in the 2024 election, and their attempt to try to figure it out and remedy the situation lies in a new program they're calling "Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan." It's nicknamed SAM, which brings to mind Uncle Sam and the "we want you" WWII military recruitment initiative.

"Six months after President Trump swept the battleground states, the Democratic Party is still sifting through the wreckage," The New York Times writes. Democrats have claimed men are toxic for years. Governor Gavin Newsom has blamed mass shootings on "toxic masculinity."  ...

"Communities that Democrats had come to count on for a generation or more — young people, Black voters, Latinos — all veered toward the right in 2024, some of them sharply. Democrats are spending $20 million on a study examining how to speak to "American men" after losing ground with the demographic during the 2024 election cycle, The New York Times revealed.

"Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan" is a $20 million project crafted by Democrats to "study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces" of male voters, the Times reported Sunday.

Known as "SAM," the study will specifically examine young male voters and how the party can connect with the demographic. Additionally, the study advised rolling out pro-Democrat ads in video games.

The study's revelation was made in an overarching article detailing the uphill battle Democrats face after the 2024 election, which included Democrats scrambling to replace former President Joe Biden as the nominee with just more than 100 days left in the election cycle and ultimately delivering all seven battleground states to President Donald Trump.

"The Democratic Party’s tarnished image could not come at a more inopportune moment," the article detailed. "In this era of political polarization, the national party’s brand is more important and influential than ever, often driving the outcomes of even the most local of races."

ctrl0 to reset to original size

Speaking of fonts ... back in the IT Dark Ages of the mid-1990's, a training supervisor had so many installed fonts, Windows 3.1 would crash during startup from the fonts consuming too much memory on a 32MB RAM desktop PC ... which was enough RAM to be an enterprise server back then.

It was only after upgrading to a 64MB RAM Desktop PC with Windows NT 4.0 was her font-laden computer able to startup successfully.

What's the point?  I loathe fonts.  Adobe fonts.  True-Type Fonts.  Post-Script Fonts.  I hate them all.
