Churchill most certainly did NOT. Churchill made his case to a United States administration and the American people followed. Zelensky has neither.
This is simply not true, your comment above. Roosevelt was in Churchill's pocket from the word go. Roosevelt saw plainly that Hitler was going to be a global problem. He aligned with Churchill from the get go.
When Russia seized Crimea during Obama's Administration, the girly man(Obama) did a big fat nothing. During Trump's 1st term, Putin did nothing to cause Trump to stand up against him. When the USA elected a senile old f*** of a POTUS, Putin thought it was time to have a field day. And he thought he would. But the fact of the matter is that the US military had been training Ukrainian forces since around 2014 or so.
Putin grossly underestimated the preparedness of the Ukrainian forces. He thought it would be a 5-10 day war, seize the ENTIRE COUNTRY, and on to the next, which most likely would have been a NATO country. I am certain that was his mindset when this all started in February, 2022. But before Ukraine received so much as a bullet from the USA or anyone else, Ukraine managed to stand their ground and fight the poorly prepared, poorly trained Russian military that everyone thought was a real army to deal with.
As Ukraine SLOWLY received military equipment from the USA and Europe, they improved their fighting ability, and as they developed new methods of fighting a conventional warfare, they were killing large numbers of Russians. The number of dead Russians presently is more dead than the USA lost in all of WWII, both theaters. To me that is staggering, but the Russian people have no idea of the cost because Russian media is completely controlled by Putin. For the longest time, they were told there were less than 1,000 dead Russians in the conflict, when it was much higher.
From the beginning of this war, I was opposed to helping Ukraine. Ukraine was never an ally of the USA. NEVER! I did not see it as our fight. And while I understood Trump attempting to bring the war to an end with the approach he used with both sides, and understood why he took that tack, I do not agree with his foolishness now. It does appear that he is favoring Russia at this point. And I find that detestable.
I think he has reached the point where he tells Putin sign a peace agreement, or the war gets racketed upwards dramatically. NATO will begin putting a strategy to support Ukraine as if they too are at war presently with Russia.
And if I were Trump, I would give Ukraine 6 MOAB bombs(our inventory is supposedly only 13), with the plane necessary to drop the bomb, and hit one Russian city, its civilian population until Putin realizes he bit off more than he can chew. Russians only respect power and hardline force. Weakness they feed on. I think Trump's efforts presently at this point with both sides saying they don't like this or that makes him appear weak.
Time to kill Russians in earnest until they cry uncle.
