A Wisconsin Democratic judge was arrested on the job for allegedly helping an undocumented migrant evade arrest.

Milwaukee County circuit judge Hannah Dugan is accused of obstructing the arrest of Eduardo Flores Ruiz, 30. She was taken into custody Friday at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.

'The FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction -- after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week,' FBI director Kash Patel said in a since-deleted X post.

'We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject -- an illegal alien -- to evade arrest.'

Patel added: 'Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he's been in custody since, but the Judge's obstruction created increased danger to the public.'

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Flores Ruiz for three charges of misdemeanor battery after his court appearance with judge Dugan on April 18.

Feds bust Wisconsin judge for allegedly helping illegal migrant accused of punching victim 30 times evade ICE agents

A veteran Wisconsin judge was arrested Friday on charges of helping a Mexican illegal migrant evade Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in her courtroom, the head of the FBI announced.

Judge Hannah Dugan, who has been on the Milwaukee County bench for nearly a decade, is accused of obstruction of justice and concealing Eduardo Flores-Ruiz from arrest following a pre-trial hearing last week. ...

According to a criminal complaint obtained by The Post, an ICE offer and a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official showed up outside Dugan’s courtroom April 18 with a warrant for Flores-Ruiz’s arrest for illegally entering the US, but were told by a security guard and a sheriff’s sergeant to wait outside until after the hearing.

The complaint noted that Flores-Ruiz, 30, had been deported from the US once before in 2013. It was not immediately clear when he crossed the border again, and there is no evidence he did so legally.

Flores-Ruiz, 30, was appearing before Dugan April 18 for a pre-trial conference on three misdemeanor battery charges stemming from a fight the previous month in which he was accused of punching another person 30 times after being accused of playing music too loudly, according to a police report obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The complaint states that while the team assigned to arrest Flores-Ruiz, which included FBI and DEA agents, waited for the hearing to conclude, they were photographed by a public defender, who informed Dugan’s clerk that “there appeared to be ICE agents in the hallway.”

After speaking with the clerk, Dugan “became visibly angry” and left the bench to confront the federal agents, according to an affidavit by a FBI special agent. After initially demanding that the officers leave the building if they were not there for a court appearance, Dugan allegedly directed the federal agents away from her courtroom to the chief judge’s office.  ...

Obstruction of a proceeding before a department or agency of the United States – This charge stems from allegations that Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents, including ICE, FBI, DEA, and CBP, who were attempting to arrest Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an undocumented Mexican national, in her Milwaukee County courtroom on April 18, 2025. According to the criminal complaint, Dugan confronted the agents, directed them to the chief judge’s office, and then escorted Flores-Ruiz and his attorney through a restricted jury door to a non-public area of the courthouse, allegedly to help him evade arrest. This is considered obstructing a federal immigration enforcement operation.
Concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest – This charge relates to the same incident, where Dugan is accused of deliberately shielding Flores-Ruiz from federal agents by guiding him out of the courtroom through a private exit, knowing that the agents were waiting in the public hallway to apprehend him based on an administrative warrant for his immigration status.

That phrase, used by Democrats to justify the endless lawfare against President Donald Trump, seems to have disappeared from the leftist lexicon entirely following the arrest of Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan. She is accused of obstruction, allegedly helping an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) target evade detainment.

Numerous prominent Democrats are blindly rallying to the defense of a Wisconsin judge arrested Friday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly helping an illegal immigrant avoid arrest.

FBI personnel arrested Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan of Milwaukee on Friday morning after she allegedly helped an illegal immigrant accused of violent crimes slip away from federal immigration authorities on April 18. Numerous congressional Democrats quickly put out statements rallying around Dugan on Friday, just one week after Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen and other Democrats flew to El Salvador to conduct a welfare check on the deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a suspected MS-13 gang member.
 
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents showed up to Dugan’s courthouse on April 18 to apprehend Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal immigrant accused of domestic abuse who was scheduled for a hearing with the judge that day, according to the unsealed complaint. As Flores-Ruiz’s alleged victims sat in the courtroom, Dugan allegedly became visibly angry and took Flores-Ruiz into her chambers, instructing him to leave the building from a private exit after learning that ICE personnel were on the premises.

Ugly details rolling out on just what the Milwaukee judge did hands hyperventilating Democrats another losing cause

The details are so bad they suggest that this is someone who had no business being on the bench.

Dugan was not only hostile and unprofessional to deportation officers patiently waiting for her to conduct her misdemeanor judicial case again the illegal, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who was in the dock for assaulting two people, putting them in the hospital. She also stiffed those victims of their day in court by allowing the accused to skip out through the jury door, which is normally never a place where noncustodial defendants are allowed to go. After she stiffed them, depriving them of justice, by letting the bad guy out, she made them wait through the whole courtroom ordeal before finally telling them there would be no court for that day.

Can you imagine waiting in a miserable courtroom, all day long, and then when the day's up, being told the case was adjourned? That was what the victims went through, and clearly, it was to help the illegal alien at their expense.

They didn't get justice. What they got was a judge with her finger on the scale, going beyond the legal limits to let a thug off scot-free because that's how she rolls. She literally abandoned the plaintiffs.

What happens when a lawyer abandons those whom he represents? That's right, they get disbarred.

Why shouldn't this also happen to a judge who abandons justice?

The details of how she got the illegal to escape -- by sneakily distracting the deportation officers with a useless visit to the principal of judges, supposedly in the name of due process, was another whopping problem.

The whole string of acts the judge did went well beyond helping an illegal escape a lawful deportation order, is really astonishing. If found guilty, she needs to be booted from the bench and disbarred, if not jailed.

But what's even more astonishing is that Democrats have embraced this case as their next big cause, their new George Floyd, following the implosion of the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case they championed, owing to that illegal being a gang member.

New Mexico Judge Joel Cano resigned from the bench after an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member, Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, was arrested at his home.

Now former Judge Joel Cano, known for his far-left courtroom rulings in the New Mexico court system, faces multiple charges. In the criminal complaint, the officials said that the judge destroyed the phone with a hammer and that the device. It contained photographs showing Ortega-Lopez possessing weapons, some of which  belonged to Cano, his wife and their daughter.

Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed the terrorist had pictures of TWO decapitated victims on his phone: “had on his cellphone pictures of two decapitated victims.”
 
The judge gave him a home, money and access to guns.

Democrat Senators erupted in anger Friday over news of the arrest by the Trump administration of a Wisconsin judge for helping an illegal alien evade arrest by ICE agents by helping him sneak out the back of her courtroom.

 
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by the FBI Friday morning at her courthouse and was later released with a federal court date of May 15. Duggan is accused of thwarting a planned arrest of Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien from Mexico who was set to face domestic violence charges involving his roommates in her courtroom on April 18. Dugan allegedly sent the federal agents away to speak with the chief judge and then snuck the illegal and his attorney out a back door. Flores-Ruiz was caught outside the courthouse after a foot chase.
