Myself...unless we come with a good candidate, I may not vote. It would be the first time since I've been of voting age.

But then, the Dems will  come up with some crazy like AOC so I'll have to.

I don't care what the other side does (what is the other side, after all?).

I will stir my stumps and go down to vote - But only for a candidate of a high caliber.
I will no longer vote against the democrat to let in yet another RINO. That's all there is anymore.

Nope. Give me a Conservative and I will vote every time. Anything else is not worth my interest.

I hear what you are saying and agree. But sadly a true conservative will not live to win in today's world. If you could find one to run. Why would they?

I get discouraged as well, and say I'm not gonna vote...but then they nominate a candidate that scares me silly. :scared smiley:

More to the fact, those we would vote for are those who would stand in the way of the other side - Those who would pick up the sword and DEFEND our rights and our way of life. If they won't/don't do that, what good are they?

So no, that is not asking for much. They ought to meet that bar and exceed it. I won't favor any other.

Well...

If Trump does what he did last time in office we'll get something as bad or worse than Biden.

I think conservatives are wrong on disdaining popular culture. I remember reading that Steven Speilberg arranged for a private screening of ET for Reagan and he loved it, the idea that he was up against pop culture or something is wrong. I think conservatives don't have to be so opposed to pop culture, hollywood, or even the media. They have to learn how to play the game. I think we just don't have good candidates and haven't in a while.

Let's get serious, John McCain was an awful candidate.  Mitt Romney was a horrible candidate.  Robert Dole, a good conservative, was an awful candidate.  And then there is George Bush, who I consider one of the worst presidents in the history of this nation.  Yes, I believe Obama and Biden were worse, but he was the first of the three worst presidents in our history in my view.  And daddy Bush was nothing to brag about either.

Carter went to his death very comfortable.  While he was also awful, I do not think he was as bad as the fine fellows noted above.

I think Ron DeSantis is in a league all his own right now for 2028.  JD Vance will be touted also as a great pick, but DeSantis has actual executive leadership experience.  With Vance, it would be like JFK, on the job training, and frankly, I do not want that.  I think JD Vance has a future, but I would like to see him with more experience.

Good God, Cruz is on here but not Ron DeSantis?

Trump is talking about running for a third term, which would ruin the party's chances in 2028.  At this point I have to assume he will follow through.  He says he is not joking, so leave any feedback with his team.

And of course, his sycophant minions will fall in line and STILL also declare he's not too old despite how they pilloried Biden over it!
