Paul Krugman better look out! He has some real competition now!

And a third one that hasn’t disputed any of the links or points I made with a counter link, but instead, hurls personal insults

I’m on a roll today. And all I did was simply point out why it’s too early to claim victory.

If any of those articles or links  I posted are wrong, feel free to provide me a link that says otherwise, and I’ll be happy to read it. You and I did this once before and you never countered any point I made over Obama‘s job numbers in the last three years of his presidency versus Donald Trump in his first three years

There’s three members here who are upset because I’m simply pointing out the facts as they exist today

We are close to the 90 day deadline that Donald Trump made, not the Democrats, not the media, not I but Donald Trump himself claimed when he implemented his tariffs on liberation day that countries were lining up to kiss his ass to make a deal. Then he puts a 90 day pause promising 90 deals in 90 days.

All I did is ask how many deals have we made with what countries? Are we halfway to the 90 deals? How about a quarter of the way? Don’t blame me. I’m just simply pointing out what he promised, and he claimed.

Trump supporters are making the exact same mistake as Biden  supporters did. I’ve said for 30 years that you can quote all the government economic stats you want, but if people don’t see it or feel it in their daily lives, it doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter whether it’s Trump, Biden, Harris, ect.

Well, it’s been a learning experience but not in the way I hoped for but I got pretty much what I expected

I was hoping for something, a source if you will, disputing the links I posted but received none. Just claims of TDS and personal insults.

And all I did was simply point out why it’s too early to declare people eating crow yet and provided links to the positions and statements and coming from this White House and….wowza. For some reason that triggered a few.

A looming deadline to make trade deals doesn't necessarily matter, President Trump said Sunday, because the U.S. will simply send letters to hundreds of countries assigning tariff rates.

Why it matters: The pause on Trump's sweeping global tariffs expires in about 10 days, with one deal and one temporary truce in hand, and the rest of the world in varying states of limbo.
What they're saying: "We made deals, but I'd rather just send them a letter, a very fair letter, saying 'congratulations, we're going to allow you to trade in the United States of America, you're going to pay a 25% tariff, or 20%, or 40 or 50%.' I would rather do that," Trump said on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures."

Asked about extending the pause, Trump said "I don't think I'll need to. I could, there's no big deal."
"What I wanted to do is, and what I will do just — sometime prior to the 9th — is we'll send a letter to all these countries," he added.
How it works: "I'm going to send letters. That's the end of the trade deal," Trump said, giving U.S. ally Japan as an example.

"Dear Mr. Japan, here's the story. You're going to pay a 25% tariff on your cars," he said.
Trump said letters would go out "pretty soon" and that "we don't have to meet. We understand, we have all the numbers."
The intrigue: Trump made similar promises of unilateral tariff letters on May 16 and June 11, saying both times they'd be sent in 2 to 3 weeks.

That didn't happen.
Catch up quick: When Trump paused the stiffest of the reciprocal tariffs in early April, officials promised they'd make 90 deals in 90 days before the pause expired.

Here’s how this is supposed to go. I make a claim. I provide a link to support said claim. If I’m and the link is wrong, someone else points out why that’s the case and provides a counter link to back their case

You don’t insult the person who made the original claim, or introduce new subjects into the fray to attack the person or simply attack the source

Hope that helps tipping hat!!

Well, you've done  alot of cherry picking and framing of the facts, alot of thin speculation, and a seeming gift to know what others are thinking, but not much else than academic exercise.
Agree, it is a pathetic glass-half-empty discourse, never a bright side on what most believe is favorable news.

All I gotto say is that I am glad I bookmarked this thread.  Read the prior pages, and see how much has been bullshit.
Am also glad to read the older posts, one of which I had surmised defense stocks would be a good pickup.

I plunged in back then and have been handsomely rewarded.

Every reply you made  to me has proven my points. You’ve hit all the buttons(left wing talking points, insulting my knowledge, TDS, ect)

But still…. nothing. Just personal insults. The tactic of the defeated

I thank ye   :hattip:

Skippy, I've forgotten more ECON acumen than you will ever see.  And insults?  You threw the fecal Trump smiley like a lib on roids.  You wear your bias like a cold sore.  BTW...you haven't proven shit, except you have a serious case of TDS....   And this comes from of one of his (Trump)'s biggest critics in the past. I am not too proud to say I was wrong.

It just kills you that he has adhered to Coolidge's philosophy, and has good chance to pull it off.  Do you want say that Coolidge was FOS too?  That would just be icing on the cake,.

In any case, I've got this thing bookmarked, and at or around Sept 30th.  If Trump; has pulled off 50% (cash value) of the trade world wide, I'll Uber Eat your a triple order of Crow.

See you then,.....
