Mark Levin: The Atlantic’s Goldberg ‘Might Have Exposed Himself to Potential Criminal Liability’

During his show’s opening monologue on Saturday, Fox News host Mark Levin dismissed calls for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to resign for allegedly using an unauthorized app to communicate with other members of Trump’s national security team about an airstrike on the Houthis in Yemen.

Levin argued the Signal conversation did not divulge “classified” material. However, if you accept the premise that classified information was included in the Signal chat, Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg could face criminal liability for revealing them on the pages of The Atlantic.

Report: White House Review Says Michael Waltz Accidentally Saved Jeffrey Goldberg’s Number in His Phone

A White House review has reportedly discovered how an Atlantic editor’s number got added to National Security Adviser Michael Waltz’s phone and later added to a private group chat with the Trump administration’s top national security officials.

The Guardian reported Sunday that Brian Hughes, a then-Trump campaign spokesman who is now a National Security Council spokesman, had copied and pasted an email query from Goldberg during the 2024 presidential campaign — which included Goldberg’s contact number — and texted it to Waltz, who then accidentally saved the number in his phone under Hughes’ contact information.

Goldberg’s number was erroneously saved during a “contact suggestion update” by Waltz’s iPhone, the review found.

Why would Waltz or any of his staff need or want to have Goldberg  on the Signal App in the first place?  Goldberg, .....among the most deranged Trump critic of them all.

I'd estimate that it was an accident.

The problem here being that the government staff are not segregating their personal or public activities on their phones from their official activities.

Which is poor OPSEC but typical of so many people who don't think sensible rules should apply to their entitled butts.

Something's amiss here.  We found out later there were Moles in 1st admin.  How do we know, this isn't a repeat.

Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is usually right.

Also, never attribute to malice that which may be easily attributed to stupidity.
