Listening via Rumble -- but I think I missed anything related to leaked war plans.

Now that the left is making a big deal about it, it appears that some of the media may have been entirely privy to national security, and maybe other things that might relate to lawfare.

Let's get the entire 4 year transcript of the system, give it to the intelligence committee behind closed doors, and let the chips fly where they may.

I couldn't agree more and he needs to find someone else immediately to replace her.  I'm not all the sure about Patel either, but if Trump doesn't get a good AG in place, we're in trouble.  His entire administration is dependent on draining the swamp and holding people accountable.  If not, nothing is going to change and conservatives have exhausted their last chance to right this ship.

I say put Cruz in her place.  Put Paxton in her place.  The change needs to happen.

IMO things are slowly starting to unravel and not in a good way.

One thing for sure; Leavitt is good at her job.

Karoline Leavitt denies 'war plans' were discussed on text thread that included editor of the Atlantic

The Trump administration is under fire for the accidental security leak.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to claims made by Jeffrey Goldberg, the liberal editor who was accidentally included on a group text between Trump administration officials.

Leavitt contested one of the more damaging claims by Goldberg, the editor in chief of the Atlantic, from the thread that included Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance.

Goldberg said that he had been accidentally included on the thread and claimed he had obtained "war plans" about a military operation against the Houthis in Yemen before it occurred. He did not publish the alleged plans, leading many to accuse him of exaggerating what he received.

Leavitt specifically denied the claims in a statement made Tuesday on social media.

"Jeffrey Goldberg is well-known for his sensationalist spin. Here are the facts about his latest story," said Leavitt.

She said no war plans were discussed, and no classified material was sent to the thread. She addressed the criticism that it was improper and possibly illegal to conduct official government business on the Signal app, due to records retention laws.

"The White House Counsel’s Office has provided guidance on a number of different platforms for President Trump’s top officials to communicate as safely and efficiently as possible," she wrote. .................

Then our guys better not be lying...
The thing is, Goldberg is editor of The Atlantic, a leftist rag. He's a leftist, and therefore pretty much can be presumed a liar. It's not like Dems are known for honesty. I think we're going to hear a lot of misinformation from both sides, but especially the left.

And I 'll say it for the 3rd time.  Does Goldberg and the dims want the last 4 years of these chat transcripts brought up for bi-partisan review?

I am guessing not.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe Testifies that the Signal Messaging App Is Authorized for Government Use

Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe testified to the Senate Tuesday that government officials are authorized to use the encrypted messaging application Signal for work, following the disclosure that the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic got inadvertently added to a group chat of senior Trump national security officials.

Sen. Warner’s Hypocrisy: Slams Trump Team for Using Signal After His Own Secret Messages Exposed

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) harped on President Donald Trump’s national security officials after a journalist was inadvertently added to an encrypted group chat that discussed military strikes before they occurred — despite his own recent history of secret messages with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch closely allied with Vladimir Putin getting leaked.

I posted above that someone other than Waltz - someone connected with the CIA - may have added Goldberg to the discussion. I'd love to know whether that's the case. The CIA is as corrupted as the FBI.

If they really, truly were discussing actual war plans, perhaps they should have done it face-to-face in a secure facility. Just sayin.

Trump Reveals NSC Staffer Added the Atlantic Editor to Group Chat on Houthi Strikes

President Donald Trump revealed Tuesday that a National Security Council staffer and aide to National Security Adviser Mike Waltz added the Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg to a Signal group chat on military strikes against the Houthis.

First off, the staffer should get pinked slipped and banned from further service with the federal government.  Whose son or nephew in Congress is he?

If we cannot have TikTok on phones for security reasons, why does anyone have this maggot reporter in their directory?  His name and every other liberal maggot should be banned from all phones used for/by folks requiring any level of security within this administration.

IMHO, this was inexcusable.   And it sheds light on the failure of folks in this government, who should know better.  Did this staffer have Vladimir Putin in the same directory?  Or Xi?  This is idiocy.

There is no excuse.  I am tired of folks around Trump conveniently leaking like a broken pipe under full pressure.

I like Walz, but he has to get tougher about sh*t like this.  There is no excuse.

Walz just said, 'that is one thing DOGE is doing, improving our IT, improving our communications'.  What the hell are the folks doing whose responsibility it is to control all that?  Time for heads to roll.  More than just the staffer..

Too much damn incompetence in Washington.

Hakeem Jeffries Calls for Pete Hegseth to Be Fired over Discussing ‘War Plans’ in Signal Chat

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is calling for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to be fired after The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg revealed that he had accidentally been added to a Signal group chat with Trump administration officials in which military strikes against the Houthis were discussed days before the strikes occurred.

Blumenthal: Trump Administration Group Chat Potential Espionage Act Violation

Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said on Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the Signal group chat on military strikes against the Houthis between Trump administration officials might be a violation of the “Espionage Act as well as the Federal Records and Presidential Records Act.”

Might not be so straight-forward ...

"Waltz confirmed he was to blame for adding Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief for The Atlantic, to the chat by mistake, and it was not a staffer.

He explained that he had been trying to add someone else's number to the discussion and Goldberg's somehow appeared under another name. He did not name whom he meant to add."

Plot twist.  There was NO staffer.  That was just a convenient excuse, long used within the DC bubble when something goes sideways.  It was Waltz who did it.

But then the question remains, why was Goldberg in Waltz's contacts list to begin with?

By Andrew Stanton
Newsweek (Mar. 26, 2025)
https://www.newsweek.com/signal-app-vulnerability-trump-war-plan-text-2050469

... NPR on Tuesday published the email sent out that warned of a "vulnerability" in the Signal app.

"A vulnerability has been identified in the Signal messenger application," the email reads. "The use of Signal by common targets of surveillance and espionage activity has made the application a high value target to intercept sensitive information."

It continues: "Russian professional hacking groups are employing the 'linked devices' features to spy on encrypted conversations. The feature allows the chat and voice messenger application to be utilized on multiple devices concurrently."

The email warns that these hacking groups embed "malicious QR codes in phishing pages" or conceal them in group invite links. After gaining access via the codes, the groups add their own devices as a linked device and can then view every message sent by the user in real time and bypass the "end-to-end encryption."

It then offered steps to safeguard their Signal application and noted that the use of apps like Signal are permitted for "unclassified accountability/recall exercises" but not to store nonpublic unclassified information.

The Hacker News reported on the vulnerability in February

It's not the first time a vulnerability has been reported in the Signal app.

Gizmodo reported in July 2024 that Signal's desktop app created an SQLite database that is stored as a plain text file on the machine when installed. This means anyone with access to the machine would have access to the file.

Goldberg wrote that he first received a Signal connection request from National Security Advisor Mike Waltz on March 11 and that the conversations about the strike against the Houthis—who have been launching attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea for over a year—unfolded over several days and allegedly included sensitive details about the strike....
