FOLLOW THE MONEY: Is This the Real Reason the Left Is Freaking Out About the Department of Education?
Tyler O'Neil | March 23, 2025

Tyler O'Neil is senior editor at The Daily Signal and the author of two books: "Making Hate Pay: The Corruption of the Southern Poverty Law Center," and "The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government."

Judging from the Left’s responses to President Trump’s order to wind down the Department of Education, you might be forgiven for thinking the president had just started World War III.

“Donald Trump has officially declared war on America’s students,” Rep. John Garamendi, D-Calif., posted on X.

Kelley Robinson, president of the Human Rights Campaign, responded to the news by accusing the administration of aiming to “demolish the nation’s public education system.”

“I’m so mad, I’m spitting mad about this, because it’s hurting the people who can’t vote, children don’t vote!” Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, said on MSNBC.

Is Weingarten a he/she?  If she's just a woman, she's among the ugliest I've seen in a long time.  She probably has a personality like a Pit Viper too. :drunk:

Ditching the DOE will hopefully result in reducing the liberal indoctrination of our kids.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Unfortunately, it won't.  Leaving aside programs with names of the form [Affirmative-action-beneficiary-group] Studies, and offices of student life, the College of Education is always the furthest left part of any university campus.  States need to adopt right-to-teach laws that dilute the influence of Colleges of Ed by letting people teach subject areas in which they hold degrees in K-12 schools.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

I was thinking of less liberal indoctrination of our children K-12.  As for the universities -- that becomes another challenge but many kids by then I would hope would have at least some chance to have a sense of where they may lean politically without the continual bombardment of liberal ideology.
