Chattanooga Mocs win 2025 NIT

April 3, 2025

Chattanooga won the 2025 NIT championship, completing its Cinderella story and upsetting No. 1 UC Irvine 85-84 in overtime. The victory marks the Mocs' first NIT title and ties the program record for most wins in a season. Forward Garrison Keeslar hit the game-winning jump shot with 11 seconds left.

The Anteaters nearly won it in the final moments, but fell short after missing a layup on a Hail Mary play with less than a second left.

Well so far I am still at 100%, Florida beat my Auburn Tigers but I predicted that.... I had Duke vs Florida in the finals... and the Houston vs Duke has about 10 minutes left in it.... with Duke up a few points.

Otherwise, not overly big on FL winning.  My son didn’t want it since they beat our Maryland.

That ending was epic.... when Houston went up for the 3pt shot and just dropped it to avoid being blocked, I couldn't believe he didn't touch it (making it a walk)... ball just sitting there bouncing while Houston tried to block out Florida from picking it up... Just a refreshing ending to a hard fought game... Both teams were defensive giants.
