EXXON MOBIL CORPORATION
 
California recently implemented stricter gasoline regulations, requiring producers to maintain minimum reserves. Gov. Gavin Newsom previously signed legislation aiming to stabilize prices, but Phillips 66 responded by announcing the closure of its Los Angeles refinery. Major oil companies, including Chevron and ExxonMobil, have also raised concerns about California’s policies.

Can you imagine what the price of gas is going to look like in CA if every drop of gasoline has to come into California via pipeline or barge?

As one who came from this industry, IMO it's a move that should have been made years ago.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

California is starving its citizens of energy.

Besides blaming its largest power company for fires and attempting to bankrupt them, the state just banned all fraccing in October, pushes ever higher gasoline taxes, punishes refineries to unprofitability by excessive gasoline formulations, and imposes ridiculous environmental regulations on producers.

Last year, Exxon had to shut in its offshore oil production as the state refused to permit the oil brought to shore to be offloaded.

It has no solution for dealing with lessened gas and gasoline availability other than saying it will be all EVs in a few years.

And we know what type of joke that one is.

A failed state.
