This deal was bound to happen no matter who the AG was.

Yup.   Except if it was a Rat AG...because they never would have agreed  let the info out.

Sure. First it would take down some prominent rats. Second, they'd lose leverage over some 'Pubbies, too (my bet).

@catfish1957

Then, there's the crazy possibility that the only reason Ghiselle is still alive and hasn't met the same fate as Epstein, is because she 'holds' a death switch of sorts.

Anything happens to a hair on her head and the data explodes to every major news outlet....errrr nevermind!
   tipping hat!!

You've got a good point.  I bet she has an outside contact with prob. very specific instructions to get documents to the right people if somethng happens to her.   It's about the only insurance polic she has

Ponder it a bit. I'm sure you can come up with a possible explanation.

Head of FBI in New York forcibly resigns in latest shakeup at the bureau under Trump administration
WABC
Monday, March 3, 2025 4:42PM

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The head of the FBI in New York forcibly resigned Monday in the latest high-level shakeup at the bureau under the Trump administration.

James Dennehy, a well-regarded leader in the New York law enforcement community who also served in the U.S. Marine Corps, told the office he was forced to submit his resignation as assistant director-in-charge of the FBI's New York field office, one of the bureau's most visible posts.

"Late Friday, I was informed that I needed to put my retirement papers in today, which I just did. I was not given a reason for this decision," Dennehy said in an email to staff, a copy of which was obtained by ABC News.

"Regardless, I apologize to all of you for not being able to fulfill my commitment to you to serve as ADIC NY for at least two years. But as I leave today, I have an immense feeling of pride - to have represented an office of professionals who will always do the right thing for the right reasons; who will always seek the truth while upholding the rule of law; who will always follow the facts no matter where they lead and be unapologetic about it; who will never bend, break, falter, or quit on your integrity; who will always handle cases and evidence with an overabundance of caution and care for the innocent, the victims, and the process first; and who will always remain independent."

Dennehy clashed with acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove over the identification of agents who investigated the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol, writing in a staff email, "Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the FBI and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and FBI policy."

Well regarded by who exactly?

BREAKING: Attorney General Pam Bondi says a "truckload" of Jeffrey Epstein files arrived on Friday, says FBI Director Kash Patel is looking through them now.

"We got them all Friday at 8AM. Thousands of pages of documents. I have the FBI going through them."

"It's now in the possession of the FBI. Kash is going to get me a detailed report as to why all these documents and evidence had been withheld."

"We're gonna go through it as fast as we can..."

Some conspiracies floating around on WHY the NY FBI office withheld files.

Couldn't this just be old fashioned bribes taking place by those on the list?

More on Dennehy:

Julie Kelly 🇺🇸
@julie_kelly2
A month ago, SDNY FBI chief James Dennehy sent an email to his colleagues/underlings urging resistance to a request by a Trump DOJ official for the names of all FBI employees involved in J6 cases.
A 22-year veteran of the FBI, Dennehy bounced between SDNY and FBI HQ. So you know his hands are dirty.
In the Feb email, Dennehy compared rank and file revolt against Trump DOJ directives to being in a foxhole. (He’s a former Marine.). “It sucked. But it worked.”
He further warned it was time for him to “dig in” to defend the bureau from the new boss.
“Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the F.B.I. and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and F.B.I. policy.”
He officially was asked to resign last Friday and did so.

Some speculate his forced resignation has something to do with the Epstein files. Perhaps it does. But I suspect his insubordination and open call for defiance has more to do with his removal than anything else. He’s probably been into some shady sh*t over the years—possibly related to investigations into Pres Trump—which put him at the top of the chopping block.
Fusion Ken yesterday published Dennehy’s parting shot. This is the tone of every bad cop you’ve ever known—arrogant,  power-hungry, and sanctimonious with zero sense of accountability. (Also—THE FBI IS NOT AN INDEPENDENT AGENCY, JIMMY)
Good f*cking riddance.

So with that, here is my final Top 10 list:

Top 10 Things I'll Miss about the FBI

10.  The commute to work. NOT.

9.  The investigations. Doesn't matter what squad you are on - the work is the best in the world.

8.  The intensity. You have to be in it to realize what I mean. But we all know how significant what we do is.

7.  The FBI brand. Do not fret. Those three letters still mean something - and there is only a select group of folks in this world, past and present, who can say they're with the FBI. Be proud of that.

6.  The camaraderie - within our own Bureau family, and with all law enforcement - local, state, federal, and international. There is no better fraternity in the world.

5.  The opportunity to put on a suit and tie to conduct interviews in the morning, throw on some street clothes to conduct surveillance in the afternoon, debrief a sensitive source in a safehouse overnight, and then get up early for a SWAT arrest the next morning. Then rinse and repeat.

4.  The badge. What it took to earn it and what it means to carry it.

3.  The independence. We will not bend. We will not falter. We will not sacrifice what is right for anything or anyone.

2.  The impact. Our work helps shape foreign policy, community awareness, international relations, wartime decisions, and public safety. Every. Single. Day.

1.  All of you - every single one of you who has earned your position within this phenomenal organization.

I've been told many times in my life, ‘When you find yourself in a hole, sometimes it's best to quit digging.’

Screw that. I will never stop defending this joint. I'll just do it willingly and proudly from outside the wire.

Yesterday the head of the SDNY FBI field office was asked to resign and later that same day a truck load of Epstein files magically appeared at the AG's office. I'm sure that is just a coincidence.

Bondi Reveals FBI Delivered 'Truckload' of Jeffrey Epstein Files, Meanwhile Top Bureau Official Resigns
By Bob Hoge | 10:59 PM on March 03, 2025

Two FBI stories broke Monday, and they very well may be connected. First, the New York Field Office’s top agent, James Dennehy, resigned, claiming that he had been told he’d be fired if he didn’t. Second, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the Bureau had dropped off a “truckload” of Jeffrey Epstein files after she’d set a hard deadline for their turnover.

Coincidence?

As we reported, Bondi had promised to deliver the potential bombshell files, which she did to select independent conservative media influencers Thursday, but things didn’t necessarily go as planned. The files were heavily redacted and contained mostly information that had been made public previously.

On that same Thursday, Bondi was notified by a whistleblower that the FBI had not in fact turned over all the documents as they had promised, so she ordered Director Kash Patel to deliver them post-haste.

On Monday evening, she announced on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show that now she finally has them:

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed that the Department of Justice has received more Jeffery Epstein files from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after the document release she touted last week fell flat.

Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday [sic] night, Bondi confirmed that a "truckload" of Epstein files were delivered by the FBI after she gave the agency until 8 a.m. on Friday morning to deliver.

Bondi said that officials will go through the files "as fast as we can," while also being careful to protect Epstein's victims.
