I have a hard time remembering the last time I agreed with Linzy.  But he nailed this one.    The majority of Americans are sick of this continued Marshall Plan like fiasco.  We are $37T in debt.  We should no longer be Uncle Sugar.

The video is 50 minutes.  There was a lot of buildup to the parts that were being reported.  Z trashed the deal that supposedly had been finalized, spent a lot of time rehashing grievances, predicted all of Eastern Europe was next, and dismissed Vance’s suggestion of diplomacy as a solution.  Finally Trump decided he had heard enough, and I don’t blame him.  Someone besides Z has to lead Ukraine through the post war transition, it isn’t in him.

Zelensky did not merely dismiss Vance's suggestion of diplomacy as a solution, he gave cogent reasons why diplomacy with Putin is not a solution, and was met not with counterargument, but with bluster from Vance (who lost a lot of stature in my eyes with that move).  The only person who did not raise his voice in the notorious clip was Zelensky, whose sound arguments were cut off by both Trump and Vance talking over him.  Trump's nonsensical response to Zelensky's prediction that war would eventually make America feel pain, suggesting that a prophetic warning about the consequences of appeasement was "dictating" what Americans would feel, likewise lowered his stature in my eyes.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told Fox News that he does not believe he owes President Trump an apology after a contentious Oval Office meeting, which devolved into a shouting match after the president thought Zelensky was being disrespectful and ungrateful.

Zelensky sat down with Fox News host Bret Baier for a 40-minute, live interview within hours of the meeting. When asked whether he believed he owed President Trump an apology, the Ukrainian president refused to give a solid answer before eventually saying no.

“Now i respect president and I respect American people and if uh… I don’t know if I think that we have to be very open and very honest and I’m not sure that we need something,” he said. Zelensky then stated that he wishes the meeting would have taken place behind closed doors and away from the media.

Democrats previously used a private conversation between Trump and Zelensky to launch the first of two bogus impeachment proceedings.

“I think maybe sometimes from… things we have to discuss uh… out of media with all respect to democracy and to a free media but there are things that where we have to understand the position of Ukraine and Ukrainians and I think that is the most important thing,” Zelensky continued. “Yes we are partners you know we are very close partners we have to be fair, we have to be very free.”

Trump and Vance don't come off good. Make you feel bad for Zelensky. I dunno. There should be a mutual respect of a guy who is up against the wall from a huge bully.

I agree.  And the transcript doesn't even show that Zelensky was the only person who did not raise his voice in the exchange.  He was making congent arguments against the sufficiency of diplomacy with Putin and being shouted at by both Vance and Trump, and not even shouted counter-arguments, just we're-the-big-men-and-you're-dis'ing-us bluster.

Z stating that he wished the meeting would have been behind closed doors, IMHO is crappola.  He wanted the media there hoping that the media and the American people would be behind him and he could get what he wanted.  Z told Rubio he was coming to sign a rare earth metals deal.  That obviously was not his intent.  I for one am sick to death of his begging, insults and disrespect.  I am glad that he was shown the door.  Trump made if very clear that he didn't want to give Z an advantage but rather he wanted peace. 

I think Trump was gracious to state in essence that when Z wants peace, he can come back.

One of the most striking things about yesterday’s Zelensky press conference was Lindsey Graham’s reaction to it. The two are old friends, but Graham disavowed him within the hour. This was more than just transactional disloyalty. It was scapegoating. Lindsey Graham knows what’s coming. Over the past three years, with the tacit support of its western patrons, the Ukrainian government has committed a remarkable number of serious crimes. The Ukrainians sold huge quantities of American weapons on the international black market at twenty cents on the dollar. Trump and Vance realized that signing the 'rare-minerals' deal would not lead to peace. The American deal would only make Zelinsky MORE aggressive. Zelinsky planned to hide behind the American agreement, to attack Moscow directly in an attempt to force America into the war.

Everybody says Putin cannot be trusted. Putin does not want peace. But the realization that became apparent is Zelinsky cannot be trusted. Zelinsky does not want peace.

Trump and Vance determined that Zelinsky would be a dangerous partner to get involve with. Zelinsky is wild and unstable. No matter what Zelinsky says, no matter whatever deal he signs, Zelinsky always has his own background side agenda which has nothing to do with 'peace'.
