A report from the National Sports Shooting Foundation (NSSF) shows the number of firearms in civilian possession topped 490 million in 2022.

Those numbers are from 2022. I believe that we have upward of 40 million AR's in the country now.

I think that those nmbers are lower with the 80% stuff not in there.

What truly surprised me is that the article states that "All 50 states have permitted concealed carry and 29 of those states have constitutional carry, which allows law-abiding citizens to forgo a permit and still carry a handgun daily for self-defense".

I looked up information on the NRA website and there are still different laws in some states that have permitted carry, but restrictions still apply and reciprocity agreements still differ from state to state.

The Reciprocity thing is, it would probaby cancel Constitutional Carry laws.  All states would have California permit requirements for "training."

Yep, and there is the problem. It is so hard to get full, complete, correct information from anyone today.
