@verga- I watched it too.

We did, too.  I commented to my husband that for some reason it felt kind of like watching the moon landing.

It was epic!

Totally agree.

I watched some movie called "McVeigh" and got mad at it making stuff up throughout the film... Example: Tim planning to kill a black guy (and only stopped from shooting when a car pulled in front of his target). Never happened. The girlfriend was made up, he was a loner with no girlfriend. The movie makes up dialog like it doesn't have a clue (calling a magazine a "clip")... It leaves out important character development points like McVeigh visiting the Waco area during the event. It even has Tim visiting some racist in prison multiple times, but in reality that never happened. I get it, they don't like T.M., but don't make up stuff just to color him as a racist.

3 out of 10 rating from me. I hate movies that just fake stuff for whatever reason.

The TV show Reacher is great.  Far better this actor than Tom Cruise in the two movies made with him to date.

For those familiar with the Reacher book series, Tom Cruise is not 6'5" as the character in the book, he is at least one foot shorter, and does not measure up as Reacher.
I'm not often one to keep up with a series, but Reacher is one I have been looking forward to watching and await the next installment.

I have watched Outlander before.  Started watching it from the 1st Season, and once again got engrossed in the story line.   I believe it is truly one of the best time travel, historical fiction productions ever made.

We’ve been watching, and enjoying, Masterpiece Theatre’s “All Creatures Great and Small”.
Really nice break from the cursing, endless killing and uncomfortable sex scenes (yes, Taylor Sheridan - I’m talking to YOU!).

Just ditched my FIOS television lineup and stayed on their internet connection.

Downgraded my 1G speed to 300mb and haven't suffered any speed loss.  Of course, I only have 1 TV and 1 computer to run.  Paid for 1G for 5 years with the intent to get myself an Xbox to play CALL of DUTY with my sons here locally and in Florida...but never did.  Brought my monthly bill down from $260 to $49 plus taxes and fees...haven't received my first bill yet on the downgrade.

What I did find out immediately however is that it's not only NETFLIX that shoved LGTBQ-LMNOP down our throats.

HULU is just as bad...having just watched 2 seasons of LIONESS and 1 season of THE END OF US!

The alphabet stuff is pervasive. Egregious and unnecessary behaviour of that sort ends a series for me. Let the ratings decide.

Fallen Down a few years ago showed a father that had had enough and wasn't gonna take it anymore. This movie "LOCKED" is in the same vein except it starts good ole Hannibal Lector (Anthony Hopkins) as the person that has "had enough"...

The trailer will give you the gist of the plot... A mostly no-good criminal down on his luck decides to steal from a car... The car is enhanced to not allow it with several revisions to make it durn near bullet=proof (escape proof). Good ole Anthony Hopkins has a few chainsaws to grind with criminals... Let the games begin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAaqF55xUHM

Based on a movie from Argentina in 2019 (4X4) .... I don't know if the original is good or not.

This movie has way too much cursing in it... but I think most of us that want to see a criminal get his butt handed to him will enjoy it. Yep, it gets a little sadistic... but is that the only way to get through to some criminals? Yes, some of the concepts are far fetched (you can hear banging on car windows)...

7/10 from me... I like a good revenge movie ... YMMV of course.

Last night:
Original "Outer Limits", episode entitled "The Inheritors, Pt. 2".
With a young Robert Duvall in the lead role.

Tonight:
An episode from The "Twilight Zone", season 2.

Both in black-and-white (and today viewable with a screen quality you never could get back in the early 60's on a b&w tv...)

Don't understand how I'm so late in discovering the beauty of "1883"... prelude to YELLOWSTONE.

The writing...magnificent!  The characters/casting...superb!

Official 1923 Trailer - Harrison Ford/Helen Mirren

After watching "1883", the prequal to the prequal "1923 of YELLOWSTONE, I can say that it's been a very long time since I've enjoyed a Western genre.

Awesome is not sufficient to describe Helen Mirren in this TWO SEASON saga.

So disappointed in how 1923 ended.  In a word: Ridiculous!

Thought I was watching a Road Runner cartoon,... "Alex" trying to reach "Spencer"

This past weekend:
"Dear Comrades" (2020), a Russian film about a worker protest strike at an industrial plant in a smaller Russian city and its aftermath, in 1962.

I believe you can watch it here:
https://tubitv.com/movies/100015808/dear-comrades

In Russian with English subtitles, so you have to pay attention.

I thought it was very good, and it receives the Fishrrman seal of approval...

Last night:
"A Hundred Yards Over The Rim", original Twilight Zone season 2 episode 23.
About a wagon train leader (Cliff Robertson) in 1846 running out of food, water, and with a sick son -- who stumbles over a sand dune and finds himself in 1961.

One of the best of the original series...

Dear Comrades.... 2020 film...

So the people revolting are asking for more Stalinist (which in their minds is a more perfect socialism) ! Not freedom from Communism... good grief... what a brainwashed bunch of idiots. The main lady character is a dyed in the wool commie but extremely slow to grasp anything real and is all emotionally driven when she realizes her own daughter is in deep doo-doo. Her husband is missing and probable in a concentration camp and she is a dyed in the wool full fledged commie to the bone who cheats (with a married man) and worms her way around barriers that others are not given the key to.

Hard to root for anyone in this movie, but I guess that is the point. And to top things off, there is no real condemnation of the system in the end. Just the way it is, life goes on. Our constitutional republic is on the verge of dying and because our bureaucracy Congress lacked the balls/care to add refinement to a few vague amendments (born in US citizenship of invaders for one) we are falling apart. Picked apart by a judicial system that seems to favor communism themselves.
