Dr Fauci IMHO is personally responsible for 1 million + deaths associated with the COVID pandemic. His utter idiocy, which was plainly in evidence, for all to see and witness, was allowed to continue way past the expiration date for stupidity. And yes, I blame Trump for standing by this major POS, which he did up to the last day of his 1st term. The gross incompetence was evident with his first proclamation of COVID.

Fauci dates back to the Reagan Administration and was head of NIAID. He was the logical "Expert" on infectious diseases and the logical choice.
When someone doesn't know about something, they hire an (or in this case, just use an in house) 'expert'.
It has only come out that Fauci was likely benefiting from the EUAs and 'vaccine' sales.
Who would expect a doctor would throw billions of patients to the winds for lucre?
Where else would Trump have turned for advice?

As for masks, the virus is 50 to 140 nanometers in diameter.
The N-95 mask has pore spaces 10-65 micrometers in diameter, an order of magnitude larger than the virus. Of course the masks are useless. It's like throwing a BB through a box car door. "Six feet" was bullshit, too.
But how many people accepted the word of the 'experts', to the point they were calling for incarceration of people not wearing masks?
