  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
The level of stupid or arrogance, can't decide which right now, this guy exhibited amazes. He didn't get rid of anything incriminating apparently. Had it all on him at the time of his arrest. Luigi is about to get a cold, hard dose of reality.
My thoughts, too.

I would not have dug a hole and buried anything intact, but had a nice little fire pit.
The 3-D printed gun and any IDs used would have been destroyed right there, the barrel of the gun (presuming a metal liner) hammered to unrecognizability, and the hole filled in.

I get that in MD it might be harder to get a pistol than it would be for those of us from states with more civilized gun laws, but it's MD. Printing one might be a cheaper and definitely less traceable alternative.
If the suppressor was homemade (3-D printed) it would have been dismantled and destroyed as well. Most such guns are only good for a few rounds, anyway, and even if the melted bits were found, pretty much untraceable.

But here we go, got the guy with all the evidence a DA could want, with the same clothes and kit as he had in NYC, even the mask, and not so much as an eyebrow trim to change his looks.
But wait! There's more! He even comes with a manifesto!

This is Ivy League material?

It's more like Blue's Clues.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I'll wait until a motive but I'm pretty sure he wanted to be caught. Made no attempt to hide his identity that is for sure.

Ok, good point. Was he really that dumb then? Guy was a valedictorian... maybe no common sense?

CEO killing suspect not talking to police: source

Luigi Mangione, the suspect in UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's killing, is refusing to talk to authorities, Fox News Digital has learned.

“Suspect didn't say a word. He refused to talk,” a law enforcement source told Fox News Digital.

At least he showing himself smart when it comes to running his mouth.  When they tell you you have the right to remain silent, the best thing to do is to remain silent.

I will predict that the gun they found him with is NOT the gun used to kill the victim.  This trial will be very interesting.

The chilling case of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s assassination has taken another bizarre turn with the release of a cryptic video allegedly posted by the accused, Luigi Mangione. YouTube swiftly removed the footage, but not before it sparked rampant speculation about the message Mangione promised to deliver.

The chilling handwritten manifesto allegedly penned by Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old arrested in connection to the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has surfaced online, sending shockwaves through the public. The three-page note, which law enforcement sources describe as condemning corporate America, offers a disturbing glimpse into Mangione’s alleged motives.

UnitedHealth CEO assassination reeks of a disastrous and hasty coverup.

Why do people assume this wasn't made up by a 3 letter agency? Why assume it was his?

The family of Luigi Mangione, the man charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, have spoken out for the first time following his arrest on Monday.

Mangione's cousin, Maryland State Delegate Nino Mangione, released a statement on behalf of the family, saying they cannot comment on the news reports or allegations regarding Mangione.

"We only know what we have read in the media," the family statement said. "Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi’s arrest. We offer our prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved. We are devastated by this news."

Nino Mangione said he would not be commenting further on the matter.

Luigi Mangione screamed as he was led into a Pennsylvania courthouse for his extradition hearing Tuesday, shouting to reporters, "It’s extremely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people and the lived experience."

Shooting a victim in the back at 10-20 feet?  Even in the old west, what this puke calls an insult is downright cowardice.

I hope he gets rectal insults from his cell roomie daily.

... will family mount an "insanity" defense, or will Luigi Marx put capitalism on trial?

Will they attempt to claim he was brainwashed by a cult of Ivy-League Liberal Arts majors and professors?

Probably something along the lines of insanity.  The back surgery looks terrible.  Apparently it was unsuccessful, and I bet he was using some powerful substances over an extended period.

Adding to Luigi's humiliating capture and exposure as a cowardly murderer is his Hawaiian roommate's disclosure that Luigi told him his love machine no longer functions after a surfing accident rearranged his spine.  So his cellmates in prison are going to be woofing on him relentlessly.

Okay you can 3D print a lower for sure and maybe buy a slide and barrel using false information, but where do you buy the fire control group without going through an FFL?Do you buy buy it on the street illegally? If you are going to do that then why waste the time fabricating when you could just buy gun and silencer complete on the street? I just don’t see the logic and this guy certainly had the money to buy whatever he wanted without making some semi functional cockup.
