Former Jill Biden spokesman tells Democrats to drop ‘white supremacist’ name calling
By
Ross O'Keefe
November 15, 2024 5:28 pm
.

Former Jill Biden spokesman Michael LaRosa said in a post on X that opposing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives “does not make you a white supremacist.”

LaRosa was responding to a Mediatite article detailing how an MSNBC guest called President-elect Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth a white supremacist for opposing DEI in the military.

“This s*** has to stop,” LaRosa wrote. “Opposing DEI initiatives does not make you a white supremacist. Conversations and demonization like this are a big part of the reason we got our asses kicked.”

The Democratic Party has had a reckoning since Vice President Kamala Harris lost to Trump by almost 100 electoral votes. It was also the first time Trump won the popular vote in any of his three runs.

Since the election, Democrats have blamed each other in a variety of ways, with many turning their ire to President Joe Biden or toward various campaign tactics. Some say Democrats didn’t relate well enough to the working class.

“The answer to extremism is not more extremism,” he wrote. “Voices like this on the left are turning the Democratic Party into a joke. We’ve got to knock it off and get serious guests who are going to diagnose politics, not make it worse. Name-calling, vilifying, and defaming nominees you oppose, even if there is very good reason to oppose them, represents everything the Democratic Party should be RUNNING away from.”

Trump’s defense pick Pete Hegseth defends himself from white supremacist accusations
By
Annabella Rosciglione

.

President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination for secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, has defended himself after facing repeated accusations that his tattoos were associated with white nationalism.

Hegseth, whose nomination by Trump has been one of the more surprising in the past week, has been the subject of multiple articles focusing on his tattoos, An Associated Press article revealed that Hegseth had been removed from National Guard duty during President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021 because a tattoo on his bicep, reading “Deus Vult”, was deemed enough to consider him a possible “insider threat.” The Latin phrase, which means “God Wills It” has been associated with the Crusades since the 1100s, but has been associated with white nationalists at times.

The Associated Press article was highlighted by vice president-elect J.D. Vance, who posted on X: “They’re attacking Pete Hegseth for having a Christian motto tattooed on his arm. This is disgusting anti-Christian bigotry from the AP, and the entire organization should be ashamed of itself.”

Not a Gaetz fan either BUT based on the reaction we're getting from all the usual suspects and "sources," I say more the power to him!

Pentagon fails 7th audit in a row but says progress made
by Brad Dress - 11/15/24 8:13 PM ET

The Pentagon on Friday failed its seventh audit in a row, with the nation’s largest government agency still unable to fully account for its more than $824 billion budget, though officials stress they are making good progress toward a clean audit in 2028.

The Department of Defense technically earned a disclaimer of opinion, meaning it failed to provide sufficient information to auditors to form an accurate opinion.

The goal is to earn an unmodified audit opinion, or a clean audit that says the financial statements are accurate. A qualified opinion says there are omissions and concerns but the finances are generally reliable.

Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer Michael McCord said that despite the disclaimer of opinion, which he expected, the Defense Department “has turned a corner in its understanding of the depth and breadth of its challenges.” ...

The only person associating it with white supremacist groups is the person making the claim.  Circular logic.

If you want to know what Pete Hegseth stands for, go to the source.  This interview with Shawn Ryan was done just before Hegseth was nominated for Defense Secretary. He talks about his views on the military, veteran's groups, and education, among other other things.

Lawyer for Defense Secretary Nominee Pete Hegseth Says Sexual Assault Accuser ‘Was the Aggressor’

Kristina Wong 16 Nov 2024

Trump Defense Secretary Nominee Pete Hegseth’s lawyer Tim Parlatore said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Saturday that sexual assault allegations from seven years ago — in 2017 — were “completely investigated” at the time and that he is “completely and totally innocent.”

“He is completely and totally innocent. It was completely investigated. She was the aggressor,” Parlatore said in a phone interview, referring to the woman who claimed she was assaulted.

Parlatore said that in 2017, Hegseth, the host of Fox News’ Fox & Friends, was invited to speak at an event hosted by the California Federation of Republican Women conference in Monterey. After the event, he and event organizers were at a bar, where he had “too many drinks.”

The accuser, who was allegedly sober at the time, took him back to his room, Parlatore said.

“She took advantage of him. She led him. She was, by all accounts, both video and eyewitness, she was sober. He was drunk. She grabbed him. She took him to his room. She’s like walking arm in arm with him. And really putting it on, and she gets him into his room. And then the police honestly, when they looked at it, even though she was the one that reported it, when they looked at the video, they considered charging her,” he said.

“But that didn’t go anywhere, because obviously Pete’s not gonna sit there and say, ‘I was raped,'” he said.

Trump transition team stands by Pete Hegseth amid sexual assault allegations
By
Elaine Mallon
November 18, 2024 12:01 pm
.

President-elect Donald Trump is standing by his pick of Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 2017.

“President Trump is nominating high-caliber and extremely qualified candidates to serve in his administration,” Steven Cheung told the Washington Examiner. “Mr. Hegseth has vigorously denied any and all accusations, and no charges were filed. We look forward to his confirmation” by the Senate.

In 2020, Hegseth entered into a settlement agreement with a woman who accused him of raping her in 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California, which was hosting an event for the California Federation of Republican Women. Hegseth was a speaker at the event, and the woman, named Jane Doe in the settlement, was an organizer. They allegedly met for an after-party at the hotel bar.

“At the end of the after party, Mr. Hegseth left the bar with the complainant,” Timothy Parlatore, Hegseth’s lawyer, told the New York Times. “Witnesses stated that Mr. Hegseth was visibly intoxicated, but the complainant was not, as she led him by the arm to his hotel room. Video surveillance confirms that the two of them were ‘walking together with arms locked together’ and that the complainant was smiling.”

Jane Doe, who was staying at the hotel with her husband and two children, said she engaged with Hegseth at the hotel bar after she received a text message from a woman sitting with Hegseth at the bar that he was being too pushy. After going up to him, she said her memory became hazy, but she remembered ending up in his room and him assaulting her.

Two Far-Left Veterans Behind Claim Pete Hegseth’s Tattoos Are Linked to White Supremacy

Kristina Wong 21 Nov 2024

Two far-left, pro-Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) veterans are behind allegations that Trump defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth’s tattoos are tied to white supremacy, according to public reports and information.

The bogus allegations stem back three years, when Hegseth, as a member of the DC National Guard, was tasked with supporting the 2021 inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden with crowd control and protecting the parade routes. One day prior to the inauguration, he was told by his unit leadership to “stand down,” and that his orders had been revoked.

As Hegseth writes in his book, The War on Warriors: Behind the Betrayal of the Men Who Keep Us Free, a senior leader in his unit told him, “You were not brought to the inauguration because they dubbed you as an extremist. You got flagged by two soldiers who had been trolling your social media. They saw your tattoo. And the tattoo was what they flagged you on.”

When Hegseth asked which tattoo, he was told, “The cross on your chest was what they determined was what made you an extremist and domestic threat. That cross, it was determined, is a tattoo of a white nationalist extremist.”

Hegseth was shocked, as he wrote in his book:

“It’s a Jerusalem Cross! Did they even google it?!”

The Jerusalem Cross represents Christ’s sacrifice and the mission to spread his gospel to the four corners of the world. There is one large cross in the middle and four smaller crosses at each corner. This was part of the coat of arms after AD 1203 and the 104-year reign of the Jerusalem Kingdom. I got it after I saw it on a church while walking the streets of Jerusalem.

It’s a religious symbol, not a white nationalist symbol.

Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth had a baby with his Fox News producer lover just weeks before claim of drunken sex assault

READ MORE: Police report reveals sordid details of Hegseth sex assault probe

By LAURA COLLINS, CHIEF INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER, FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

Published: 11:14 EST, 24 November 2024 | Updated: 11:27 EST, 24 November 2024

His marriage had fallen apart when his wife discovered his mistress had given birth to his daughter and his divorce was about to cost him millions.

His life was teetering on the brink as he turned a little too much to alcohol as a crutch.

And that wasn’t the worst of it for Pete Hegseth – Donald Trump’s pick for Defense Secretary – as his life threatened to spiral out of control in 2017.

Just weeks later Hegseth, now 44, was accused of groping multiple women and sexually assaulting one as alcohol once again allegedly clouded his judgment.

The allegations of assault could not have come at a more delicate time for Hegseth personally. His accuser made her claims as his divorce proceedings were pending with an initial case conference set to take place less than three weeks later on October 27.

And fearing for his job as a weekend anchor on Fox News, Hegseth decided he should pay the woman off rather than fight the allegations in court.

The NYT has reached a new low, publishing a private email allegedly sent by Hegseth's mother to him in 2018. In the email, Penelope Hegseth refers to her son as “an abuser of women.”

In an interview with the New York Times, Penelope Hegseth says she regrets sending the email to her son.
