Biden calls Harris, Trump urging a smooth transition

Biden talked with both Harris and Trump on the phone and congratulated the president-elect on his victory.

In his phone call, Biden shared his commitment to achieving a smooth transition of power and emphasized the importance of unifying the country.

He also extended an invitation for Trump to come meet with him at the White House.

In his conversation with Harris, Biden congratulated her on her campaign.

Biden will address the country tomorrow “to discuss the election results and the transition.”

He's been watching and I believe knows what needs to be done; it's just get things aligned and the right people in place to do so. He's also going to need a majority in the House otherwise unfortunately we may see the same resistance and roadblocks we saw in his first administration.

It really does make me wonder though why she was selected in the first place as VP and quite amazing that they would insert her to run as president.  They could have 'fanagled' a much more formidable opponent than she.  As much as they hate Trump I think they wanted him in and realized that they had no one to save them from themselves.

Biden picked Harris because he painted himself into a corner when he promised he would pick a black woman for Veep.  That made for a very shallow bench for him from which to choose.  So he picked the woman who called him a rayciss on the debate stage.

A boring way to deal with Administrative State over-reach is to use the Budgeting process to defund and re-organize agencies.

It's easier to re-org, eliminate existing positions, and make people re-apply for new positions, than it is to fire them.  That's how they roll in dreaded private sector.

It's easier to eliminate a position than it is to terminate a Career-Conditional Federal Employee - RIF, Reduction In Force.

I think Trump himself will do very little. He will put people in CEO level positions of power to clean house for him. Trump himself will do nothing to Letitia James or Merchan and his paid Democrat consultant daughter or people like Pelosi and Schumer. But the people he chooses to administrate the DOJ will crucify them, and they know this.

Trump has people like Elon, RFK, Tulsi Gabbard, Nikki Haley, and on and on and on ...
Once Trump gives these people the power they need, they will do what needs to be done without Trump's explicit orders.
