On the first day of early voting in North Carolina, Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz hit the campaign trail in Durham on Thursday evening, making a personal revelation about his mother.

During his campaign rally, Walz said that his mother has to wait for her social security check every month to feed herself.

According to Forbes, Walz has an estimated net worth of over $1 million.

Walz has spent the better part of his career in the public service sector. He was a former public school teacher and Army National Guardsman who served six terms in Congress before becoming the governor of Minnesota in 2019.

He's a good son, though. He picks up a few cans of cat food for her whenever she gives him a couple of dollars from her SS check.

Wow, very eye opening, and so many red flags!!!!!!

1. "Tim Walz's net worth is under $1 million, according to Investopedia.

2. "As governor of Minnesota, he earns $127,629 according to Investopedia. Walz and his wife reported earning $166,719 in 2022, according to a federal tax return that year (their most recent tax filing made public)."

So let me get this straight....  The Walz' make almost $300K annually, and at age 60 is unable to amass even just $1M?  Think about it, this guy who at a normal retirement age, who wants to be VPOTUS and manage this country, can't even manage his own household finances.

3. "Walz has no investments, no bonds, stock holdings, real estate, nor does he currently own a home as of August 2024, USA TODAY" reports.

Beyond strange....  outright bizarre.  Not even own a home at age 60?  And this guy wants to sell the American Dream?

4. "His 2019 financial disclosure report showed that Walz's assets are limited to his state and federal pensions as a former teacher and congressman, life insurance and college savings, and he does not have a 401(k) account"

Strange and bizzare - Part II

For anyone with any common sense, this ought to just add to the strangeness and the level  thT he is unfit to lead not only the country, but even a small municipality.

It's hyperbolic campaign pandering.  "Vote for me, I'm just like you."

Which of my taxes are they going to cut, and by how much?

So far, Bidenomics hasn't helped me.  I never took on student debt, therefore I don't have student loans to be forgiven.

My energy bills are higher because of the Global Climate Change war against American domestic energy.

Everything else has gotten more expensive because, with higher energy prices, the costs of making, transporting, and storing goods has increased.

Does Walz also get paid by China? Either way, sounds like he's a heartless jerk when it comes to his mother.

No national guard pension? After 24 years?

Even so, the idea that they are living high on the hog in the governor's residence and can't stock Mom's pantry seems off to me.

If that was Walz's attempt to look like "every man" it was a big fail.

If it's true, always questionable, he needs to buy his mom some danged groceries.

Most every man, that is aware of a situation like this would not let it happen.

Without revealing any details, I'll say that Mr. M and I have had much lower annual income than Walz, yet somehow we've managed to be worth more - and own our own home. Go figure. There's a whole lot that's hinky about that weirdo.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
Maybe he is a true communist and does not believe in obtaining capital assets.

Or perhaps he is a spend as you go kind of guy.  No savings per say, just living high on life.

Whatever, he has clearly demonstrated he is the consummate fool, being Kamie the Clown's sidekick.

From reply 3 above:
"walz has no investments, no bonds, stock holdings, real estate, nor does he currently own a home as of August 2024, USA TODAY" reports.

Actually, this makes sense if he (and his wife) are indeed committed communists. Such "holdings" are those of capitalists, not of believing Party members.

In David Horowitz' book "Radical Son", he describes how his parents (who were bona fide communist party members) once declined to buy the Sunnyside (NY) apartment they rented when the apartment complex was converted to co-ops. He mentioned that his father didn't believe that as a Party member he should own private property in the form of a home.

So the fact that walz & wife never made such investments isn't all that shocking, if you realize "where they're coming from" ...

EDIT:
(sigh) composed and posted this before I read the post directly above this one!
