Keep thinking that, pally.

Those blaming Global Climate Change and Jewish space lasers for hurricanes are pissing on my leg and telling me that's it raining.

Could the Fujiwhara effect influence Helene’s path?

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA/WKBN) — A phenomenon known as the Fujiwhara effect could impact Tropical Storm Helene‘s path as it churns northward.

The Fujiwhara effect is when two areas of low pressure attract each other, when they normally would repel each other, according to NewsNation affiliate WFLA meteorologist Eric Stone. In rare instances, two storms can combine to create a larger one instead of two smaller ones, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration defines it as “a binary interaction where tropical cyclones within a certain distance (300-750 nautical miles depending on the sizes of the cyclones) of each other begin to rotate about a common midpoint.”

“It’s something that you just don’t see — it’s very rare,” Stone said. “Usually two lows will repel each other, but in this case, they’re attracting each other.”

Stone said the high pressure system over Florida will also help steer the system north, something that was not present during Hurricane Ian.

“What’s going to happen is Helene is going to be sucked up — guided and attracted to that upper level low,” Stone said. “That’s what’s going to keep this thing moving more northerly than more northeasterly.” ...

THIS IS HUGE NEWS!

Climate Engineering Researcher Dane Wigington says he spoke with members of Congress by phone after Hurricane Helene devastated their districts.

He said they know something is not right with these storms.

He told them how they are steering and manipulating hurricanes.

The world is becoming wide awake now.

Yep, the Democrats quietly designing, building, and deploying a "weather machine" to create and steer hurricanes is tin-foil hat nonsense.  Remember how George W. Bush got accused of such a thing?

For those pooh-poohing the seeming science fiction of weather modification, it has been going on for decades. Viz, this year's ballot.

Before y'all go all  *****rollingeyes***** on me, keep in mind that this type of research has been active in DOD circles for a long time, and of late, the excuse is climate change. The Laser research is being carried out in Geneva, of other places, as part of the general research into geoengineering the climate.

It turns out that not only can lasers create conduits for lightning, but they can be used to create ionic condensation nuclei which form something we know as clouds (but only if there is moisture present).

The science is real, the manipulation techniques are in development.

Before summarily dismissing this, please at least look at it.

This is no more fantastic than someone creating a novel virus in a lab and using it to manipulate elections. That seemed like a crazy spy novel plot in 2017, but in 2024 not so much.

NC Republican: ‘Hurricane Helene was NOT geoengineered by the government’
by Filip Timotija - 10/09/24 9:17 AM ET

Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-N.C.) tried to debunk some of the misinformation that has proliferated on social media following the government’s response to Hurricane Helene in the southeastern U.S., saying the tropical cyclone was “NOT geoengineered by the government.”

“Over the past 10 days, I have been proud of how our mountain communities have come together to help one another,” Edwards said in a Tuesday press release aimed at his constituents.

“We have seen a level of support that is unmatched by most any other disaster nationwide; but amidst all of the support, we have also seen an uptick in untrustworthy sources trying to spark chaos by sharing hoaxes, conspiracy theories, and hearsay about hurricane response efforts across our mountains,” he added.

Edwards, who represents North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, joined local officials in calling out false and misleading information circulating online in Helene’s aftermath, urging his constituents to “make sure you are fact-checking what you read online with a reputable source.”

“Hurricane Helene was NOT geoengineered by the government to seize and access lithium deposits in Chimney Rock,” Edwards said. “Nobody can control the weather,” adding that the current geoengineering technology can mitigate some negative consequences, “but it cannot be used to create or manipulate hurricanes.”

UPDATE: North Carolina National Guard Admits They 'Rotor Washed' a Hurricane Helene Relief Site
By Jennifer Oliver O'Connell | 8:45 AM on October 09, 2024

As RedState reported on Tuesday, Brian Trascher, Vice President and PIO of the United Cajun Navy, confirmed the Sunday "rotor washing" event at one of their Hurricane Helene relief stations in North Carolina by what he surmised was a UH60 Blackhawk helicopter.

Quote
On the evening of Sunday, October 6, a helicopter "rotor washed" a POD center where the United Cajun Navy was distributing supplies and giving relief to the people impacted by Hurricane Helene. This area was no-fly territory, so the appearance of a helicopter flying 500 feet from the ground was extremely frightening, as the UCN documented on its X page.

Trascher had more to say about who might have been behind the incident, and stated that the organization was investigating.

A day late and a dollar short, the North Carolina National Guard decided to fess up that it was their Blackhawk helicopter that did the deed. On Tuesday evening, they issued this post on X.

FEMA provides $344M to survivors of Hurricane Helene

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Piere said Wednesday that FEMA has provided $344 million in direct assistance to survivors of Hurricane Helene.

The announcement comes as Florida is bracing for Hurricane Milton just two weeks after Helene walloped the Sunshine State.

Jean-Pierre said FEMA had set aside an additional $180 million to ensure federal partners “can carry out their critical recovery work.”

“More than 8000 federal personnel are deployed, including FEMA Disaster Survivor assistant teams that are in the neighborhood in and in neighborhoods across the affected states, helping survivors apply for assistance,” Jean-Piere said.” These personnel across the southeast, including Florida, will both continue.”

Additionally, Jean-Pierre said President Biden had approved an emergency declaration from the State of Florida and the Seminole Tribe.

There's a Free Methodist church near us that sent a truckload of relief items to Helene-ravaged areas. Thought you all might like to read the report (names redacted):
Quote
Hello everyone,

Our home group study chapter for this week started out with these words: “Jesus told his followers to let their light shine before people so that they would see their good works and glorify our father in heaven.”

Usually I think it is a good thing to anonymously do acts of kindness or generosity so we don’t call attention to ourselves, but these words from Jesus made me realize that there is a time and place to let our works be seen, so others will glorify God. This is one of those times.

First of all, thank you to everyone who donated money, supplies, and prayers for a safe and successful journey to East Tennessee. We delivered three pallets of water, plus cleaning supplies, hygiene items, canned goods, medical supplies, a couple of pack and plays, and lots of diapers and baby needs. The trip was long, due to a few road closures, but I arrived in Newport, Tennessee in about 11 hours.

How it all started…  On Wednesday I was listening to stories about stranded people in Tennessee and North Carolina, with the only relief coming from helicopters and four wheelers, and I was wondering what I could do to help. I felt compelled to get to some of those stranded people. I was considering loading up a chain saw and other supplies, and driving my car as far south as I could go to join up with other volunteers. Then I saw an advertisement saying that K___'s bar was rounding up donations to pack a truck of flood relief supplies, and I wondered if our church could do something similar. So I texted B___ W____ to see what he thought of me using the church van to deliver relief supplies. He immediately texted back that he had just finished praying about how our church could respond to the flood relief… which set the ball in motion.

Eastern Tennessee…   B___W____ made some phone calls and got a list of needed items from a friend in Church Hill, Tennessee. We quickly had $2,000 pledged for supplies, and on Thursday morning J___, R___ W___, and I went to Sam’s Club. We split into three directions, and began filling carts with water, diapers, canned food, flashlights, etc. We parked carts in an area by the cash registers and took new carts out to gather more supplies. When we thought we had enough, we had the cashier ring everything up. We had no idea what the bill would be, but lo and behold, it came out to $1,999.23. A small, but encouraging confirmation that we were doing the right thing. It was also very nice to arrive back at the church to find the book nook filled with more supplies, to the point that we had to leave some behind for a second delivery. Thanks everybody!

Before I left early on Friday morning a few people had given me $300 in cash to help pay for gas for the trip. The total amount of gas for the round trip ended up being $310. Another small confirmation.

When I got to Church Hill, Tennessee the first place I stopped already had enough items, so they sent me a couple of hours further toward the devastation to a town called Newport, which is just a few miles from the North Carolina border. A group there was using four wheelers to pack into areas where the roads had washed out, and they were running low on supplies. By the time I got there, most of the major roads had finally been opened, but water and electricity was still not in place for a lot of the areas. On Saturday morning I headed out with M___ G___ and her son in law D___. M____ was the perfect person to guide the mission, as she has been a realtor in Cocke County for 40 years and knew all of the back roads where the most damage had taken place. We spent the day criss-crossing the North Carolina line, driving into areas where the roads had just been cleared. People there were living in tents in their yards and working on their homes, which in most cases were absolutely trashed. Most had flood water up to their roofs, so everything inside their homes was a complete loss. None of them had flood insurance. Nobody ever expected the river to rise 30 to 40 feet above its banks. 10 feet was the highest most people had ever seen before.

In a perfect world, most of the houses I delivered supplies to should simply be bulldozed and rebuilt from a new foundation. But having no other place to stay, and no insurance money, the people are left with their only option… to tear out all of the drywall, insulation, flooring, appliances, and try to start over with simply four walls and a roof, sometimes on foundations that were buckled or smashed.

We went door to door, asking what items people needed the most. We delivered a couple of tons of water, and a wide range of supplies directly to the people from our church van. The people I met were extremely gracious and appreciative. We had a tote full of toys and one little boy in particular was thrilled to receive a package of new matchbox cars, as his whole collection had floated away. Many parents were very happy to receive cartons of diapers, formula, pack and plays, and other baby supplies. Cleaning supplies were in high demand, as well as food and hygiene items. We had a very nicely stocked supply of items that were immediately put to use by the people who received them. At the end of the day I still had some supplies in the van which we added to the supplies that G___ Real Estate was delivering to local churches.

Let their light shine…  I witnessed this in a big way. A town that had been underwater the week before was buzzing with volunteers with pickups, trailers, and heavy equipment, some from as far away as Nevada. Churches were definitely the driving force behind almost all of the relief efforts I witnessed. I stopped by a FEMA distribution center in the middle of a lumber yard parking lot and talked with the guy in charge. The place was filled with pallets of water and supplies. He said FEMA had worked out an arrangement where churches in the area could come and load up whatever supplies they needed. He said that FEMA recognizes the local churches as the best way to deliver the supplies because they know the area and the people much better than the federal government. It is a testimony to the value of the church in times of crisis. Many churches were providing free meals daily for both volunteers and flood victims. I witnessed no harsh words or disagreements the whole time I was there. Just people helping people in a way that honored God in the best possible way. It was especially nice to see teenagers from several youth groups helping to pile up mounds of ruined items and scrub and clean up ravaged homes.

Where are we today?  On Saturday morning a group of 23 backpackers heard about the supplies at G____’s real estate agency and came from North Carolina to pack them into the hardest hit areas. I just spoke with M____ this morning (Wednesday, October 9). There are still a lot of areas that are completely cut off. She is working with a group who are still backpacking supplies into these areas. She knows our church has been collecting more items and will be assessing the best way to put the supplies to good use. It may be that we directly supply some of the backpackers. I will send an update when we have a new delivery location.

What about the future…

The situation is constantly changing. With more open roads comes more ability to move supplies to needy areas. There may soon come a time when there are enough supplies, and what will be most needed are workers to help rebuild. For now I think it makes sense to make one more trip with what has been collected and do a new assessment for future needs. It could be that the most cost effective way to help is to simply give money to a group in the area that we trust to best carry out the mission to help those in need. I heard a lot of great stories about Samaritan’s Purse, so I think that might be a good place to consider.

Thanks again for your help and support in this cause.
The abnormal is not the normal just because it is prevalent.

Huskies are darned good saws, too. Top notch, up with with Sachs Dolmar and Stihl's pro grade saws.

I have a McCulloch Black Max 18in blade saw I bought right after getting out of the Navy in 78. Other than not pumping oil to the blade very well, it still cuts those trees.

NC National Guard helicopter crew grounded after ‘rotor wash’ incident blows away Helene aid
Story by Rodney Overton

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The North Carolina National Guard says a Black Hawk helicopter crew was grounded after an incident in which they flew low over a Hurricane Helene donation and supply area, blowing over three tents and scattering items in the air.

Video of the incident surfaced after the helicopter hovered over the supply area in Burnsville on Sunday. One person who recorded the video said that the incident “seemed deliberate.”
Pilot flying Helene rescue missions in NC ordered out, threatened with arrest

Guard officials said Tuesday that the aircraft was a North Carolina National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter making a delivery of generators.

After the items were blown away, “The crew immediately identified the situation, aborted the landing for safety reasons, and departed the area.”

I have a McCulloch, two Stihls, and a Remington pole saw (electric, corded). WHen right, all will cut wood. Generally, though, the Stihls, Sachs Dollmars, and Husquevarna stand up better to everyday work. The older McCulloch (mine is mid 80s, and needs to be replumbed--the fuel lines got brittle and shattered) saws are good, but I haven't put it through the paces my tree surgeon friend has with his Stihls, the Sachs, or the Husky.
I have found all good enough for what I do.

Well, they screwed up. Likely weren't tipped off to how fragile such a setup could be. Have seen images of a Chinook doing the same. This just underlines the need to either put supplies in a sheltered area or have a separate LZ.

Yep, which gets back to my earlier point about conspiracy theories when simple ignorance and incompetence are generally the causes of such things.

A little extra stress on not hovering over supply collection areas might have been good, too. If you see a blue tarp, generally it isn't secured any better than the quality of the tarp. Canvas, and you might be dealing with someone who has done this stuff before and knows to really stake things down.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I have two Stihls, a FarmBoss for the big trees and a professional MSA 220 lightweight.  Use the MSA for almost everything except the really big logs as the FarmBoss seems to get heavier every year.  Also have that same corded Remington pole saw.

Best chainsaw I ever owned was a Jonsered when I lived in New England and had a wood stove burning 6 cords per year.  Fantastically fast cut.

"FarmBoss seems to get heavier every year."   Mine too, got the MS 170 for general duty.

Hurricane Helene: 11 from single North Carolina family dead as authorities keep finding bodies
More than 230 people have been found dead in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene

A North Carolina family is mourning the loss of 11 loved ones in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene as residents and officials in the western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee areas continue to recover bodies nearly two weeks after Helene devastated the region.

The Craig family, which lives in an area known as "Craigtown" in Fairview, a suburb of Asheville, lost 11 members to a mudslide that happened "without warning by unprecedented rains" when the worst of Helene struck in the early morning hours of Sept. 27, according to a GoFundMe for the family titled "Support the Craig Family After Tragic Loss."

The GoFundMe described the Craig family as "pillars of the community."

A resident close to the Craigs told Fox News Digital the 11 deceased family members lived in several houses beside each other, which the mudslide crushed when it came down the slope of the mountain near their homes.
