We all know Biden and Harris are both bumbling, lazy, uncaring morons. The puppet masters behind them, however, are cunning, ruthless, and deadly. Never in my life could I have imagined that any government would let thousands of Americans die in a natural tragedy because of the way they vote. But now, as I watch the criminal malfeasance in NC under Biden/Harris, it has crossed my mind. It surely can’t be true, but their slovenly neglect is now bordering on willful political warfare.

Earthquake risk in CA is very exaggerated. ...

Basic reality is that every area of the world has some sort of natural suck.
That's probably true, although I lived in Northridge, CA, for three years as a child and we had enough of an earthquake to crack the concrete around our backyard pool (then, of course, there was the big one, several years later). When I lived in St. Louis, everyone was on tenterhooks about the New Madrid Fault causing a temblor - didn't happen while I was there, anyway. Thankfully, where I live now has very few really serious weather events. The rivers flood occasionally, and there may be a tornado, but thus far no earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes or the like. We get the "remnants" of hurricanes every once in a while - thus the creeks and rivers flooding.
The abnormal is not the normal just because it is prevalent.

Disgusting quote. Trump should play that on a loop in the affected areas.

Yeah, I've been reading social media posts from local folks all day, especially in the Chimney Rock area, and they say that there are dead bodies all over the place, in cars and the wreckage of homes, and even up in the trees.

What's the endgame of the Helene response? To break down these communities. To make them dependent, to force a migration from rural America into urban centers where control is easier, where votes can be harvested. It's about changing demographics to shift the political landscape

Absolutely.  Lake Lure is heavily conservative, yet they're not getting a whole lot of FEMA assistance, if any.  It's mostly come from private entities.  Like I mentioned earlier; the DEMS never let a disaster go to waste.

This is so heartwarming.

After a LONG day of re-connecting Western North Carolina with Starlinks, @ChrisHallWx and I wanted to bring NC State Troopers out for a nice dinner.

So we did, and told the troopers to go ALL OUT. 22oz steaks 🤣

But half way through our dinner, a lady walked up and thanked them for saving lives out here.

We found out later she paid our entire tab, which was close to $300.

I would love nothing more than to tell that lady how much we appreciated what she just did. Hopefully she’ll see this somewhere.

The people out here are incredible. THIS is the best of America right here.

God Bless America 🇺🇸

Thank you, Sen. @JDVance, for coming to Virginia to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Helene and for standing with the people of Southwest Virginia during this challenging time. Your support is deeply appreciated as we work together to rebuild and recover.

I gave the mayor a hug and I was talking to somebody else along with the mayor, and she said, 'We're Hillbillies and we're proud of it.' And I think this community shows you why people are proud of Appalachian values." (Video)

Truly heartbreaking to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in Damascus, Virginia today. Thank you to all the first responders working to keep people safe.

To all the people suffering through this disaster, the nation is here for you. We're going to help you rebuild.

Any government agency that is stopping private pilots, charities, churches or volunteers from assisting in rescue efforts, is not “just doing their job.” Quite the opposite. They are in fact part of the problem.

Government bureaucracy is almost always inefficient, in this case it could be deadly.
