I understand you being pissed. I am too, but from an objective unbiased POV, Trump lost. I judged from a traditonal debate point system., and I had it 135-80 for the bitch. On the criteria of content/style/strategy as dictated
"Policy debate scoring is defined by the National Speech & Debate Association to fall under three distinct categories — content, style, and strategy. Each of these area are weighted and carry a total of 60–80 points per debater for each initial speech. The reply on the other hand, is only scored between 30–40 points.
I then split the debate into Part 1 and 2 (45 minute increments) Though I did use a 0-80 and a 0-40 criteria to heighten the effect of any Biden like bombs.
I took speech and debate classes in high school and at my university. Catfish, THIS IS NOT HIGH SCHOOL OR THE UNIVERSITY, THIS IS REAL POLITICAL VERBAL COMBAT. AND GUESS WHAT, YOUR RULES MEAN NOTHING TO 90% OF THE WALKING STIFFS IN THE USA. In fact, 90% have never heard said rules. You are part of a very limited group of people oriented to proper debate structure, and evaluation.
A political debate often is one step away from a street brawl, just with words and not fists. Your assessment has no value from my perspective, and that of the low volume news person, which comprises the majority of Americans, they are clueless to your evaluation process.
They know their food cost is double, gasoline is double, mortgage rates are triple or quadruple, and household cost is through the roof. So, if Trump steps on his dong in the debate, they do not care, because when he was POTUS, their money had far more purchasing power. Car prices have doubled. And you have Harris sprinting away from the Biden/Harris debacle, and Trump is saying, I will make your life great again.
I know Democrats that have never voted for a Republican that are voting for Trump. Sure, I would rather have DeSantis, who was my preferred candidate, but he never made it to my primary date, for he dropped from the race before Georgia had their primary. I still voted for him, but he was out.
I would like to believe I am an objective person. I was a registered Democrat until 2008, when the stinking Democommies picked Obama/Biden for the ticket in June, 2008. The UGLY TRUTH was at that moment in time, not Obama, Biden, Reed or Pelosi represented my view on anything. So, I finally changed my registration. I actually voted Republican or 3rd party all my life but the first time I voted. I was part of the group that got to vote at age 18 for the first time. I voted for Mondale, since he was the candidate my parents supported. But once I went to the university, my eyes were opened wide, and I never did vote for another Democrat for POTUS.
IMHO, 2020 was a fixed election. And with that, the death of our republic. I expect the same occurrence in 2024.
