The fact that a GOP push poll has it this close is not the best of news

Trump's numbers are never going to rise above 50%.  But then we all knew this going in.  At least us Conservatives did.  Trump's best strategy is to not give voters a reason to show up at the polls to vote against him.

Trump only needs Georgia, Virginia, and Nevada.  That's all.  He can lose PA, MI, WI, NH, and AZ and still win.

Kamala Harris Trails Donald Trump in 5 New Battleground Polls
Published Sep 01, 2024 at 4:56 AM EDT

Vice President Kamala Harris is behind Donald Trump in five key swing states polls, with the pair tied in a further two, according to recent surveys.

Surveys by Republican pollsters Trafalgar Group of three of the key battleground states which could determine who wins the 2024 election shows that Trump is beating Harris in Pennsylvania (47 percent to 45) and Wisconsin (47 percent to 46).

Harris and Trump are neck-and-neck in Michigan, with the former president narrowly ahead on 47 percent, and the vice president on 46.6.

While Harris has seen waves of enthusiasm for her 2024 bid since she was endorsed by President Joe Biden after he ended his reelection campaign, the surveys showing her not beating Trump in battleground states are largely consistent with polling companies' previous results.

Elsewhere, InsiderAdvantage swing-state polling shows that Trump is ahead of Harris in all but one of the remaining four major swing states.

The surveys show that Trump has a narrow one-point lead over Harris in Arizona (49 percent to 49), Nevada (48 percent to 47) and North Carolina (49 percent to 48). The pair are tied on 48 percent in Georgia.

Harris' and Trump's offices have been contacted for comment via email.

I don't see how Kamala can go up from here - almost sure she'll win PA, NC and GA, I think WI and MI are possible but more challenging.

AZ and NV, they are prone to fraud as well. VA is a lot closer than you'd expect.

Same poll has trump winning MI too, which if true would be lights out for Harris.

Kamala Harris Might Want to Halt Her Post-Debate Victory Lap After Seeing This
Townhall, Sep 12, 2024

A joint Trafalgar-Insider Advantage survey of likely general election voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin showed each candidate with 47 percent support prior to the debate. When asked who won the debate, Harris came out ahead, 55.3 percent to Trump’s 42.5 percent, while 2.2 percent thought it was a draw. Respondents were then asked, “Considering tonight’s debate performances, if you had to vote tomorrow, for whom would you vote?” Harris and Trump were again tied at 48 percent, with 3 percent undecided and 1 percent choosing “other.”

RESULTS of our joint @trafalgar_group @InsiderPolling #PresidentialDebate2024 #Battlegroundstate #poll.

1) Supporting for president before the debate.

47% Trump
47% Harris
2% Others
4% Undecided

2) Who won the debate?

55% Harris
43% Trump
2% Tie

3) Who are you voting for now?

48% Trump
48% Harris
1% Others
3% Undecided

[...]

Other surveys found voters trust Trump more than Harris on the economy and immigration--issues that have consistently ranked at the top of the list of voter concerns.

Despite her win, debate-watchers still preferred Trump by 20 points on the economy (55-35) and 23 points on immigration (56-33). Those are actually bigger margins than he usually racks up on these issues, so it seems possible Trump’s attacks on the Biden administration’s record on these issues landed with some effect. (We’ll await more polling on these issues.) (WaPo)

He'll never get Virginia or Nevada, or New Hampshire for that matter. I think the rest are doable.

NH voted Hillary in 2016 and really hasn't voted for a GOPer since W. Why? No idea, I'm told the numerous colleges around here are what does it.

It will be close. Frankly if Trump is ahead in the popular vote it would take a miracle.

On the RCP state no toss up polling average, MI just flipped for Trump.

With GA and NC as swing states in natural disaster mode, will these states be fertile ground for "Franken-ing" this thing?

These two states are just ripe for the cheat....Fox reported this morning that the counties most affected in both states are red counties....how are they suppose to vote?

I would hate to lose the election because of this... 9999hair out0000
