Texas Scorecard by Daniel Greer August 28, 2024
Texas’ Dr. Mary Talley Bowden and other frontline doctors are vindicated, again.Project Veritas has released footage of a Food and Drug Administration attorney admitting that the agency he represented “unquestionably” went beyond its authority by dissuading the American public from taking ivermectin to fight COVID-19.
Isaac Belfer, who defended the FDA in a legal case brought by three doctors, including Texas’ Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, was secretly recorded stating that the agency overstepped its authority by recommending what drugs should and should not be taken.
Federal, state, and local governments took unprecedented steps to direct citizen behavior during the pandemic, confining people to their homes, shuttering businesses, and alternatively limiting and then mandating treatment, specifically vaccinations.
Texas cited the federal agency repeatedly during the pandemic while making policy decisions.
According to the doctors who brought suit against the FDA, the agency’s attack on ivermectin was part of an orchestrated effort to herd the public into getting COVID-19 shots. This was after the federal government took control over and cut the supply of monoclonal antibodies, another treatment option that had been saving lives.
Why did the FDA discourage using ivermectin and strangle the supply of monoclonal treatments? Emergency use authorization for vaccines requires “that there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives.”
