Clearly to some it was Trump being the compassionate person that he is and the families of the fallen sure as heck appreciated him being there. 

The absence of both Biden and Harris spoke volumes.

Who stands over a grave and gives a thumbs-up with smile for the cameras?  Were he some old man diagnosed with a mental disorder, nobody would mind, but he is running for President.  It's odd behavior from someone who is supposed to know better.

I think Biden was in Delaware.  Not sure about Kamala. 

IIRC they still haven't even acknowledged the fallen.  To do so would be to admit their absolute failure and responsibility!

I don't think that follows at all.   They can acknowledge the dead without admitting responsibility.  And in fact, Biden at least has already given a speech at which he acknowledged their deaths, and still hasn't acknowledged any errors in judgement.

Watching the RNC convention it was quite obvious that the family members of the 13 that have fallen that came on stage were relieved to finally be heard and most importantly their loved ones acknowledged.

I think it was very appropriate for Trump to attend this ceremony at Arlington as some of the family members reported that either Trump called them or spent time with them. 

Again, I have no issue with Trump going to Arlington with those families.   I do have an issue with cameras being brought into Arlington to politicize that event, which is exactly what the very first post in this thread openly did.

I also have no issue with Trump slamming Biden and Harris for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal independently of a visit to Arlington.

Have you ever been to Arlington or any National Cemetery....as soon as you enter you are on sacred ground and there is a hush that you feel..I would never group my family around my dad's or uncles tombstones to take photos...but I guess that is just me and Maj. Bill Martin's opinion.

The last time I was at Arlington watching the Changing of the Guard there was a group of people talking and laughing loudly..they stopped the ceremony and asked them to leave....no respect at all!

Sorry, but if Trump visited Arlington, it was wrong of him/his campaign to bring cameras.   It was very clearly a campaign event as they have used his presence there to make a political attack against Biden/Harris.

Arlington shouldn't be politicized.  Classless move.
