After goofing off in Santa Barbara all week, POTUS is taking another vacation at his beach house from Sunday for NINE days - I thought it was just until this Tuesday but it’s the following week.
If he is incapable of doing the job, his VP needs to step up.

President Biden wants to establish an enforceable ethics code for Supreme Court justices, but the lame-duck president has been criticized over his own apparent conflicts of interest, including his relationship with friend and billionaire donor Joe Kiani.

Following his address at the Democratic National Convention Monday, Biden and his family flew to Santa Ynez, California, to vacation at Kiani's ranch-style estate. The first family is reportedly staying there for free, said White House officials who described Kiani as a "friend," according to the New York Post.

Kiani has given Biden's super PAC, foundation and inaugural committee nearly $3 million, according to House Republicans who have taken issue with the relationship. Meanwhile, in September 2021, Kiani won an appointment from Biden to sit on his Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, which advises the executive branch on policy matters involving Kiani’s medical tech business, Masimo. Since Biden took office in January 2021, Masimo has received nearly $3 million in federal contracts, according to Republicans.

In addition to his appointment, Kiani received tickets from Biden in 2022 to attend a state dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron, the Post reported. The outlet said it granted the billionaire CEO access to trans-Atlantic business officials and other global elites. ...

No, that's quite evident. But our servicemen and women might have a passing interest in who the heck is their commander in chief, because it clearly isn't the vacationing Poopypants.

The White House insisted again Monday that President Biden remains in charge of the country despite being on a second straight week of vacation.

During a teleconference Monday, White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby recognized the three-year-anniversary of the Aug. 26, 2021, Abbey Gate suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 100 Afghans outside Kabul Airport.

Biden, who is at his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for the week, notably remained out of public view on the anniversary of the deadly terrorist attack. Last week, Biden was vacationing in California, including when the Israeli military said they launched a preemptive strike destroying thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers in Lebanon, essentially deterring a major attack by the terrorist group intended for central Israel. 

A journalist noted Biden's public absence in a question to Kirby on Monday.

"The President’s public comportment and the paucity of events on his public schedule, as on this very day, have fostered a public perception that Mr. Biden is increasingly disengaged from the presidency," Newsmax's James Rosen said on the teleconference. "Time and again, the question I am hearing from members of the general public, and which I put to you here, Admiral, is: Who is running the country?"

What we’ve learned from Biden’s tenure is that apparently it’s an option to just not have a president. We’d always imagined that the presidency is a rather essential job. I guess not. We can go 4 years without one. Maybe that should be an option on the ballot in future elections.

He'll leave Delaware for a couple of quick campaign  trips, but will be back on the beach in no time.
