Another absurdity. Dungarees have been around a long, long time. Made of sail cloth, might not have been blue, but yeah. Jeans are no new thing.
Blue jeans since the 1870s, but a pair of button fly jeans was found in a trunk in a shipwreck off North Carolina that dated to 1857.

Obviously, the millions of pairs of jeans worn by miners, ranch hands, farmers, and other blue collar folks are the problem, not the designer jeans with studs, back flap snaps, and bedazzler junk all over them that come from the factory with holes ground in them. (Never understood any of that stuff).

Geezer or not, 90% of the shorts and pants that I own are blue jeans.  That's what I grew up wearing, that's what I'm comfortable in, and I just don't see me wearing anything else but jeans and t-shirts or blouses. 

Good grief, griping about jeans is beyond ridiculous.

No shorts. There's only about a week when the weather is warm enough that the mosquitoes aren't out. But I've been wearing Wrangler jeans for 50 years, black and blue, and the only difference now is that some of mine are NFPA 2112 compliant Flame Resistant for work.
I admit to owning one pair of slacks (they came with the suit), but those are only rarely worn.
I tried bibs, but have trouble getting high centered and admittedly didn't much like them.

Not so bad... but then I I ain't workin no more... Lots of ventilation... Everything hanging free. And a place for my glasses, as I said.

The biggest problem is to remember to fold everything up when you're poopin, or it might just be inside with you when you're done. That's something you have to get figured out right away, I'll tell you what. I think that's what them stovepipe legs are for.

Never liked overalls when I was workin. The way the sizing goes, the clips for the straps were always directly in my nipples. And since I never wore a shirt outside -Especially haying and such, those clips could tear a nipple off, just like that... But I was younger then.

I did not like bibs much because I kept dropping stuff (like wire cutters and strippers) out of those pockets.  I figured if I can't use those pockets, then there was no point wearing the bibs.  That's when I started looking at Dickys.  I love the Duluth stuff because the pockets are deep and there are many pockets.
