@Hoodat
I may have asked you this question before, but what is your opinion of Brian Kemp as governor?
@LMAO Kemp gets very high praises for his handling of the BLM and Antifa riots. He shut them all down from the start while the rest of the country burned. Even in Atlanta. He overrode the city's authority and send in State police to stop the uprising.
Economically, Atlanta growth brings in jobs. So he ends up getting the credit for that. He has done a lot to get other companies to move here. However, there is one company in particular where he sold the people out. Rivian. All the Covid lockdowns in Georgia were because of Rivian. That company alone drove State policy. They told Kemp that if he didn't lockdown the State, they were pulling out.
Politically, he is entrenched in the new and improved good old boy network. If you dangle money in front of him, he will jump. When Facebook came into the State in 2020 offering all this money to help out with the election, he took it. And once he did, he couldn't go back on it.
After 2020, he saw the results of what was done and decided to use it to his advantage in 2022. So basically, he and the GOP Elite cut a deal with the Democrats. They threw Stacy Abrams under the bus in exchange for a US Senate seat. Warnock wins his race, and the Gov, Lt. Gov, AG, and Sec of State all win theirs. The election was fixed. Didn't take five days of ballot counting this time because they had already agreed with the Democrats beforehand. Abrams even stopped campaigning weeks before election day.
Kemp, Raffensperger, Sterling, etc. are all corrupt. So the question is, do you get them to work for you or not. Clearly, Trump doesn't have the first clue at doing that, so after yesterday, I fully expect them to turn a blind eye to the shenanigans of Fulton, Dekalb, Gwinnett, and Cobb counties. Except this time, they'll be ready weeks before the ballots are due.
The key for Trump is to simply force the State of Georgia to enforce their own election laws. If they do that, Trump wins easily. But Trump thinks that rally sizes are what wins elections, and an opportune place to trade insults.
Back to Kemp. You have to keep in mind how firmly entrenched the Democrat Party has been in Georgia. The State went 134 years without a Republican governor - 134 years! Getting Sonny Perdue in the governor's mansion in 2003 was a blessing. But you have to keep in mind almost every Republican in State office in 2003 was at one time a Democrat, including Perdue. But he was a solid governor, full of integrity and humility, which separates him from the vast majority of the Republican GOP. The Party is corrupt to its very core. Kemp is simply a product of that. And anyone in the GOP who is willing to stand for truth and justice will find themselves stripped of power or a job altogether. In the GA Senate, Brandon Beach and his allies saw themselves stripped of all their committee rankings. And on the Fulton County election board, Susan Voyles lost her job altogether. The GOP does this because that's what the Democrats did when they were in power. Go against Dem Speaker Tom Murphy three decades ago? Kiss your political career good-bye. Well the same went for GOP Speaker David Ralston. He ran the GA House the exact same way as did Tom Murphy. And the same way that Republican Casey Cagle ran the GA Senate. All corrupt to the core. Georgia is about as corrupt as it gets.
Don't expect any help from the Georgia GOP this election. Especially now that Trump has run his mouth instead of reaching out the good-old-boy way. Facebook and Dominion and Act Blue will pour tens of millions into good-old-boy pockets. Because they know how the game is won. They could care less about how big Trump's rallies are.
